Was hameed right to come out and say what he has?

In my opinion he is right, if he is trying to do his best, and get runs for the team, where others are cheating, I think he is right to come and 'grass' on the cheats, as the cheats should not be playing the game

I also think its a very sad state of afairs, whent his kinda of obvious pressure from numerous places is put on someone just 18! in Mohammad Amir, he is obviously desperate for the money for his family, and thats people organizing the betting have obviously taken advantage of this

Just 18? I'd like to think that I knew my own mind when I was 18. Jesus, the MAN is presumably able to make his own decisions.

You can make your own decisions, but you'd also need to be strong willed and have strong principles to go against the word/advice of your captain and teammates.

My point is though and this is what I imagined would have happened in some way/shape/form,

He's 18, flung into the spotlight playing alongside his idols. He's never had loads of money and sees his boss (Salman Butt) driving around in fancy cars.

Butt says "I can help get you a quick �10,000 all you need to do is bowl 2 no balls."

As an 18yr old you can be inclined to do things without reviewing the consequences. A couple of no balls don't really hurt anyone, it's not really cheating and there's enough money to get a new car/more comfortable lifestyle. You're thinking no-one is going to get caught and the captain does it so it must be pretty safe to do. You also don't want to upset your new boss in case he gets rid or doesn't utilise you enough.

Amir doesn't appear to be innocent and I hope he does get punished if found guilty, however I do have a certain amount of sympathy towards him and can understand why he did it.

I reckon young Amir never really knew how good he was.Mikey Holding said that he was the best fast bowler he had ever seen at 18 yrs of age.He could have made a fortune as a role model and has a good 15 year career ahead of him.Asif on the other hand had little or nothing to lose as a quick buck was always the best option for a fine bowler at the end of his career.

A newbie like Amir would always do what a senior player tells him and he would have looked up to them regardless of the consequences as he would have thought if the seniors are doing it then why shouldnt I.Personally I was really impressed with Amir and its really sad that he is involved bigtime.

Amir knew exactly what he was doing, and therefore deserves whatever punishment he gets.

Being poor is no excuse. You have to have some sort of self respect, which these pakistani's clearly don't have.

If he gets a life ban(which he should do) maybe he can go to school and study ethics....
