I wonder if Freddie is tempted with a CE?  ;)

Never been a fan of Woodworm bats, picked up and seen a few and never saw one which grabbed me.

same here, never been a fan of woodworm bats and developed a definate disliking once they came out with the new labels. The new labels are horrible....

I would guess that WW lost some sales due to these horrible labels as many retialers have piles of bats and our offering very low prices...

I'll have to check how much is left on the money tree, i'll get back to you, CEback has a nice ring to it.

Woodworm have been selling their kit to retailers at increasing discounts so that they have been devaluing the brand a lot and have massive outlay if they wanted to continue. It has been common knowledge that they will be gone in the industry for some time.

They wanted to be bigger than they could be and have paid the price.

If the CE and Redback labels are looking for an inspirational brand leader then you know my address, and I'm cheap, dirt cheap.

Nobody In The Current England Set Up Is Puma, Plus The Link Of Puma + Adidas, Maybe?
I Don't Know To Be Honest.

Any Idea When The Adidas Range Is Going To Be Released?

Freddie will go wherever he's offered the most money as everone would do. I have a sneaky suspision that it'll be GM or GN or maybe addidas.

Pietersen has signed, this could be to offset Woodworm's debt's and allow them to try and continue with Flintoff onboard. Adidas would have wanted him much more than Flintoff, he is captain and has no fitness worries and the biggest name in world cricket.

Just watch the kids buy the kit now, some idiots have written in the papers that KP will have to use untried bats in the Stanford match, maybe they don't know how to peel labels off a bat???

Since Woodworm have never made a bat and very very few were ever Hunts even though people claimed that they made them I would think that the real source of his bats will not change since he first payed for Notts.

Does anyone remember what brand he used before Woodworm???

Congrats Talisman...

When will the pics of the Adidas stuff be released?

KP used to use Gunn and Moore, Freddie used Slazenger.

i had 2 woodworm bats the wand and the flame.... wand was fantastic best runscoring season with it but when i got a flame i couldnt be more disappointed. the bat cosmetically looked ok but sounded awful and played even worse

i can see freddie going off to a brand like puma maybe and hopefully fill the gap of gilchrist.... especially after losing shane watson to gunn n moore
