There on. Would be nice to have a unique set of softs. As far as I'm aware no one in our league has Ayrtek equipment. Never seen any anyway. Only came across you when ProWannabe told us about the forum.

I need to get people trying out the ACIS gloves with the release valve in them with the bat mallet and feeling the difference between having it inflated and deflated next to show them the effectiveness of the technology! ;)

What are the ACIS gloves?

we licensed the design to canterbury which they pitched at the top end of the market at £70 for a pair of gloves....as a new brand in the sport it didnt seem the best thing to do!!

we have the capacity to make them and they are proven to keep you hand safer from impact that other gloves but we havent pushed production as yet with all the other kit at the moment.

Tom, how exaactky des the realease valve work on both the gloves and helmets? I presume the pads are relatively traditional compared to the others :)

when the release valve is pressed it lets out the air that has been pumped into the air tight bladders.....which then return to their flacid state ;)

So what is the benefits of the valve then on the gloves specifically, surely the valve would pop when the ball hit is if it is full and then pop ???

no mate we took the valve off the gloves as it was too bulky according to mr benning....the system comprises on a series of interconnected cells which wont pop like a balloon as such as when u press on one area the air is relocated to another but also acts as a cushioning system to absorb the impact.

the gloves proved to be 200% safer than the PUMA and GM we put through testing back then whilst the helmet proved 300% safer than the helmets we tested with the BSI.
