Im'm not trying to bag you here yash, but does beign a gentleman of the game really count fro much today. If so why isnt Mark taylor one of the best batsman in the world.

Chaim, since when does personality contribute to a batsman's greatness?

To me playing the game like a gentleman and integrity is foremost. And I think there are still people out there who apprecite and respect such players.

Yes, MArk Taylor should be included in the list. I remember him not because he was the Aussie captain, but for declarignt he innings against Pak when he could have created a world record. Awsome dedication to the team and the country... foregoing personal milestone for winning the game for the country.

Great player, the longer he carries on the better. Think there are a few thousand runs left in him :)
