Whats everyone think about his treatment by Middlesex? Should they have released him?

Spoke to him last night (in the toilets!) he said he would rather go to Essex as its closer to his family but Hampshire are also in the mix. Also said he was really upset about how he had been treated by Middlesex as he has been such a longserving player for the club.

I was so happy mate not awkward at all for me! Although after a few more drinks when Owais addressed everyone after his speech and asked if there was any questions I asked if he fancied a game for the 4th team on Saturday as we are one short !

Middlesex have treated him like rubbish. I'm shocked they're releasing such a high quality player...I wish him all the best in his new spell at another county

If I'm not mistaken, Owais used to be an ECB contracted player. Therefore MCCC probably didn't want to pay his £250,000 wages? Clubs are only interested in money, YCCC did the same to Hoggard last year.

quite sure he's goin to essex, rumour is that he may replave ravi. he's out of contract and may go warwicks with giles, doesnt make sense as we have gooch who will help him. hopefully thats not true !

Absolutely shocked they have released Owais Shah. I do not understand what is going on with the Middlesex management this season.

I'm not a Middlesex fan, (Surrey still the best...in my head anyway!) but I think English players deserve better.
