Buzz, do you have the habit of buying matching pads and gloves?
Or is that just me.

Wazza - yes, absolutely. I like having matching kit, typically I will use matching softs with a bespoke bat - I also have some GM RSB pads and 909 gloves, but I probably wont use them. I used to use all County softs, but preferred the Kook stuff during the last few years (not unreasonably). The Kook Ice stuff is really good and extremely reasonable when you know people like Mike (Talisman)

The reason is all about being comfortable at the crease and I believe that as a batsman if you look the part you make the bowler know you can play before you have faced a ball, sometimes that fires up a bowler - but often it makes them doubt themselves. I may just be waffling nonsense, but if it helps me, so be it. Maybe it is just for me, from when I was sponsored I liked feeling like a proper player and it has stuck.

I have a teammate who is totally opposite, he refuses to have a single piece of matching kit and another mate who likes to have old dishevelled kit to make the bowlers think he is rubbish and underestimate him. It is all about what suits you.
