The bat is in fact 2lbs 7oz with the one grip applied. It is good for the weight, 30mm edges and 50mm spine, same as my 2lbs 9oz.

He has hit some massive shots in the nets!

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum....been a 'guest' for a long time now, thought I should actually sign up finally!

I live in Australia, have always been a big GN fan....but a couple of seasons ago I thought I would move onto something different, so checked out batmakers in both the UK and Australia, before deciding to go with Julian from Screaming Cat (wished I knew of this forum back then....there are SO many other companies who I didn't know about!)

Basically my kit for the last 2 years in Australia has been
2 x Screaming Cat Professional Customs (traditional shape, no concaving, 2'9/10, light pickup)
Screaming Cat Pads, Gloves and Kit Bag

The cats go like trains, although I have had issues with both of them getting splits through the toe area (not from the toe through the face, they sort of crack along the toes then up the edges, if that makes sense!)

I'm moving over to the Motherland this season for a bit of a working holiday, will be playing for a club in Kent, so I thought I would give a UK manufacturer a crack....was between Warsop, SAF and Redback, decided on the latter. So for my season in the UK so far my kit will be:

2 x Redback Surefire LE's (2'9/10, light pickup, lowish middle, no concaving. Don't care about grains as long as it goes like a train!)
Redback Traditional Pads
Redback Modern Gloves
Will pick up thigh pad, bag etc from somewhere when I get over there! Can't wait for Gary to send me pics of the bats when he has them done!

Sorry to 'flood' this topic with my first post guys!
