I think that everyone is different. And most of batting is confidence. So if you feel that doing something in particular is working in a match, then excellent!
Science can disprove that everything exists if you believe them!
They can disprove that ghosts exists, but people still see ghosts!!!!!  They could also disprove that wearing a specific pair of socks, shorts, gloves or whatever does noty improve your batting, but how many of you have a 'lucky' pair of pants you wear for a match??

In matches, pro players tend to warm up by playing their strokes with 2 bats.
So that when they go to the middle the bat feels a lot lighter.
But I don't know many people who have a match bat and a net bat with the same weight.

They are talking about a small percentage.
Whereas, 95% of batting is based on technical ability, hand and eye coordination, and confidence IMO!

Yeah confidence is massive! As are ability etc which is why i sorrt of feel at many of our levels it doesnt matter what you train with or play with much of it would be down to us, but if sports science proves that heavier bat practising changes things then that going to play on people minds and blow the problem out of proportion!
