Agree with you on spinners Jeet. You have world class spinners such as Chawla, Mishra, Ashwin and good youngsters such as Jadeja coming through the ranks. Our best hope is Rashid, who isn't bad either....

Has anyone been watching the 2nd Test? It's just about coming to the boil coming into the 4th day.

Aus scored 478, North scored his 5th Test hundred (seemingly guaranteeing his Ashes place), with Punter, Watson and Paine all making 50's.

India's reply has been lead, as is often the case, by Sachin. He's 191no. Sachin also went passed 14,000 Test runs. M Vijay scored his maiden Test hundred in a massive 2rd wicket partnership of 300+. Only shame was Pujara, on debut, managed only 4.

Pitche seems to be breaking up, if Sachin and MS can get a lead of 100+, then India should be able to bowl Australia out of day 5.

Not sure there will be a result but fair play to the great man again weird to think some people were calling for him to think about retiring  a while back

Aussies look to be in trouble. As usual Tendulkar batted well today and should have a decent lead and will look to bowl the Aussies out again.
Must say Australia look to have a problem before the Ashes as Hauritz has looked very ineffective on a turning pitch and Peter George doesnt look that great either. Good to see though just before the Ashes...

Pujara's dismissal was very unfortunate, after watching Vijay and Tendulkar bat for the best part of 70 overs, he gets a pea roller 3rd ball!

His technique for those 3 bals looked very sound though, nice cover drive for 4.

Not much else that I can say about Sachin, Vijay was sublime; real talent.

I think it's time Dravid retired now.

There are other youngsters waiting in domestic cricket, some of whom are in stunning form eg Rahane of Mumbai, and India's net series is vs NZ, so they can ease in these up coming players.

I hope that Sachin gets 300 as his high score is 248* (I think). If anyone deserves a triple ton it's the little master himself.

I'd love Sachin to get 301no. That way he would get that long awaited triple but Sehwag's 319 would remain India's highest individual score. Which would be fair as Sehwag has blasted 2 x 300!

As I have said many a time, ST is the best all round batsman in all formats and deserves a 300!
The guy is incredible and when he's on form, he is as good as it gets!!!
I suspect he'll be looking for 200 to start with! I hope he gets his highest test score and goes on the crack 300 though, and to do it against the Aussies is always a joy! Ponting is an excellent batsman and one of the best in the modern era, but the little master will hopefully show him the way to do it!
I just wish England had a couple of batsmen who were capable of hitting 200+ scores!  :(
