Right starting early pads

right i need a few suggestions on my quest for the ultimate pad....


going to get around 4 pairs keeping just the one anybody any suggestions....

Newbery SPS?

hawks are cracked up to be pretty good apparently!
Ayrteks look good
Salix, always liked them! (but dont think they fit me overly well as dont do small mens size!)

those would be my 4 choices!

Take it your looking for traditional mate I have the ayrtek elite from this year and are are really good solid pads have a knee locator which is a first for me but apparently the top range pads have them

hawk i have treid 2 pairs and both top hats were crooked and slightly large
salix agree there a overpriced pads and gloves as they come

newbery had the old sps 1 the blue backed ones were very good....

as you know me i fussy with the softs...

poorest pads on the market kookaburra poor top hat

knee locator is key to a good fit in my opinion...

looking for maybe 2 traditional and maybe a couple of none.....

U sound like gentry with all this talk of top hats!!!

U can have the pads and gloves for the package deal mate but postage to u cost more last time as ur over yonder!

Well the ayrtek elite 2011 ones I have would be worth a go mate as trad with knee locator and not heavy

yes i like your your in line tom so are willowwizzard stuff i tried a pad in aus in 08 and they were fine...

been looking at different pads i after something i have not tried yet and must stress that includes gloves might try a set of millichamp alphas as well .....

redback softs look ok anybody used any good.....

mmm toss up between the ayrtek and the ss matrix the real ones price wise i suppose the ayrtek get it i like tom gloves also

Got the elite or premier both the same spec in regards to protection just different looks

Go with ayrteks i have only seen youths version of the pads! but they were nice, i am similar in pickiness with pads and my gt's were perfect fit for me at start of season, little too small now, but moving onto the sps to give them a crack!

yeah lefty mate, going at a stupidly low price too!!

Might bung them on ebay but are youths so probably wouldnt get much :(
