Salix Pod Arma Gloves
« on: October 18, 2010, 04:47:12 PM »

Hi,

Hope you're well!

I was wondering that has anyone worn or used them? If so how are they although they have calf palm

Thanks

I have owned Salix Pod Pro batting gloves, which had the calf palm; and the quality is very high. Sometimes you pay for what you get.

The general consensus for the calf palm is that don't use an octopus grip as it rips up the palm, although I haven't found this myself. As there isn't a huge price difference, considering the price you would be shelling out for these the Arma gloves already, I would invest in the Pod Black gloves, which have authentic Pittards.

How comfortable were they?

Ah okay, thanks for that advise.

I saw these Arma at Uzisports for 30 Pounds whereas I don't know which reliable website have Pod Black (saw Owzat they don't have black)

They were one of the best gloves I have had in terms of comfort, however for best grip you need to get Pittards, or even Indian pittards.

I have used many different gloves which includes calf and pittard palm. However, I didn't really find difficulties in gripping a bat with calf palm. I found them pretty decent as well.

Thanks for your reply as it has helped me :)

Maybe it is because I have quite sweaty hands whilst batting, and this is where any extra grip has helped me.

Yes, but my gloves are very quickly ruined still! I always need at least 2 pairs in my bag, and swap them If by any miracle I get over 50.....

Ahh okay seems like you sweat a lot! To be honest, I don't sweat much (I am not sure if its a good thing or bad :( )

Its always good to have 2 or more pairs of gloves :)
