Mike, for the hundredth time he uses a super long blade bat made by Hunts County. Therefore a mini splice is on show (clefts don't come long enough). We'll make a bat to this spec for anyone, including yourself.

Canners_- 20 or so pro players.

The following:

Floyd Reiffer
Chris Benham
Ryan Wiggins
Adrian Shankar
Jim Allenby
Matthew Hayden (2011 models seen in JW T20)
Gareth Andrew
Stacy Ann King
Deandra Dottin
Kevin Stoute
Tino Best
Daren Powell
Greg Smith
Ant Botha (mini)
Lou Vincent
Jonathan Clare
Malinga Bandara
Laura Marsh
Chamara Kapugedera
Somerset opener (launched Tue)
Dheeraj Jadhav

Various levels of pros and players. Due to the high interest in the brand We have had the odd issue supplying bats in the quantities needed to shops and players and on a couple of occasions it has meant a player either using a stickered Mongoose bat if their bat has broken or the one supplied isn't to spec. But when spotted they're collared and given the right gear ASAP and I appreicate so many eagle eyed forum members trying to spot them.

This season expect to see a lot more of the MMi3 in use.

I hope you actually get paid for all the overtime, indoctrination company policy I take it.

I've never heard of him having to use an extra long blade and that would make no difference to the splicing process whatsoever, come on Tom, you used to ridicule those doing this so don't get the hump when you are found out. The pictures of Vaas and Blackwell last season only ever contained spliced bats, and I know you are not running out of bats so fast that you paid Pro's have to go out and buy their own, unless you send them a stash of stickers to use you must be supplying the bats.

I've only heard of 11 players on your list, 12 including Trescothick when you put his name on the website, why so few players? Chase has 20 paid Pro's according to ProCricket and they are much smaller than Mongoose.

any reason why you put "Somerset opener" instead of Tresco?

I do see what Mike is getting at...

Mike, now you're just lying to benefit your argument. When you're making a long blade bat the clefts aren't long enough to get the splice inside the handle. Hence why half of it is.

I'm down at the farm on Monday with our Somerset boy so pop a long and see how we do things rather than relying on incorrect presumptions.

You don't need 100's of players to build a brand, how many did Woodworm sponsor?

What - the Pro's or the brand?

Is there a height restriction to using the brand - is that to do with the splice again?

Gentlemen, you are both better than this idle bickering. Neither of you is coming out very well from it. Please consider that the good reputations that you have both worked so hard to create on here can be undone very quickly.

Tomgoose, maybe you need to look at the length of a cleft, how much longer is his bat? And your splice is mini, you can make all the accusations about it but from what I understand from the maker he thinks it's very poor and when he makes bats for players they have full splices as they work better.

I'm the forum KP.... how much lower can my rep go?

Ask your batmaker who actually is using his bats. Jimmy sure isn't!
