Hi All,

New to this board and hence first post, but have been watching and enjoying the topics for some weeks. I`ve got a couple of new bats for next season, a Chase 167 Finback and a Ram Rambow which looks very useful. I`m now looking at a Heritage Bat. Does anyone know anything about this company, I sort of found them by accident on the net. Any thoughts/comments/advice most welcome. You can find them at: www.heritagecricket.co.uk

Many thanks, SJ

Is ran by a member of this forum, he has only just started making bats so would assume the quality would not be as good as some others who you could get a bat from for a similar price.

think the lad who set it up was on the forum for a bit tapping Andy from SAF's knowledge on all things bat like.....then a month or so later appeared with his own brand!!

Who is the better bat maker Roger Weston (solitaire) or Andy (saf)?

I'd hope so otherwise there aren't many "batmakers" in existence!!!

Thats another debate, just saying assuming something without prior knowledge is condescending

Very true although it is very natural to presume or assume that experience means quality. To some Roger at Solitaire is the greatest bat maker, to others he is a tired man simply trying to make a few quid before retirement; and this reflects in his work.

Tony Cook at Hunts is one of the most experienced batmaker going, been making bats for at least 50 years.

He makes some for Mongoose, and my experiences with Hunts haven't been bad...
