How about for next season a forum player of the week/month award? Maybe each one of the sponsors could donate a small prize at the start of the season e.g. Gloves, Thigh Pad, Bat Cover etc., to be given to the member who performs the best during the month or week... e.g. Top Score, Best figures, consistant peformances?

Also the facebook like chat seems like a really good idea!

Maybe the "fundraising" thing could be more targeted? In the UK, "Cricket for Change" (http://www.cricketforchange.org.uk/) are doing a lot of good work, and I personally have been collecting old kit donations for the Courtney Walsh Foundation in Jamaica, which aims to do a similar thing as Cricket for Change.

Getting the word out about these charities amongst cricket players and lovers seems like a good thing to do.

On other forums I've been involved with, the usual reason is that they use up a hellish amount of bandwidth.
