just wanted to add to my above post...

I like the new website the colot combination and the interactive concept. The new fusion font and the colors look really nice.

Yeah agree with all said above but i think a suitable price for the Skyer would be around £100 bacuase thats not too dear and not too cheap imo!

I think Fusion made the error of selling it to cheap in the first place.

Hit the nail on the head there Tom. The public, and this includes all on this forum do not take kindly to price hikes, regardless of the reason. It is obviously up there for a reason but I think they have massively overestimated the market on this one. Only time will tell.

Well i have been argueing on the CSF about this and everybody seems to think that a 250% plus price rise is perfectly acceptiable.  Bill has just got money hungry as has been said.  They are now miles to expensive for the average cricketer and I find Toms comeback arguements they they have improved by 20% as a reason is jokeable. So what are you saying? If they improved by 100% we would be spending 350 quid plus on a skyer and attempt to justify the price.

Watch in the coming weeks as the price drops drastically as nobody will buy them!  Ha ha good effort fusion

Nozza, if you don't want one at that price just don't buy it. Yes it is a massive increase and the price is now high. But if it costs a lot to make and develop they were never going to keep the price the same. It was always going to go up and yes they may not sell as many, but it's their business they price as they see fit. Fusion have always been a nice and helpful comapny, I'm sure their aim is not to rip people off.

ok maybe the wrong words rip people off, well definitely the wrong words, what i mean is a 100 quid price increase is massive. I would have had no gripe if it had been 89.99 or even 99.99 but a 100 quid INCREASE IS MASSIVE and in my opinion well over the top

Hi all.

Fusion Sports here.

Many thanks for all the comments and feedback. We wont be able to be on the site that regularly but i wanted to explain the thoughts behind the new skyer. For any direct questions please email info@fusionsports.co.uk and we will reply as quickly as possible.

We worked on the prototype skyer for over 3 years and in this time there have been a small amount sold to individuals enabling us to trial the product.

These initial prototypes were not made on a large scale basis hence people who initially ordered obviously benefitted from a tremendous product at a 'giveaway price'.

What we hope is that the skyer will become a regular feature in cricket teams and individuals kit bags all around the world. The quality of the product is such that  all international teams are using the Skyer on a daily basis and it has replaced other ways of training teams in ground fielding, high catching, close catching etc before every test match, one day international and 20 20 game. That being said most orders were to individuals yesterday!

The Launch of the new website marks the real 'launch' of the Skyer - this is the first skyer out of a range of 3 that we are going to release to the market over the next 12 months.

We believe The Skyer is tremendous value for money. The Skyer has been 3 years in development and is now patented worldwide. Used properly i.e. not as a cricket bat in the nets or left on a wet outfield,we expect the Skyer to last people many seasons. This is where we feel the real value is.

I do appreciate all your thoughts and comments. The website went live yesterday and if you want any more information on how the skyer works then have a look at the video drills on the website.

All the best

Jeremy.

Nozza, my point wasn't that they increased the price due to the percentage increase. It was because the original Skyer was sold for no profit to get feedback on, I believe Jeremy has re-enforced that above.

Fusion have undergone huge changes in the last few months, as you've seen there's a new website, there's new staff, new production methods. Many things some on here complained about will be resolved by the changes, this comes at a premium also.

I admit I was suprised initiall at the increase, as I'd got used to them at £60. However the more I think about it the more I understand why it has been done and why the price was so low initially

Good luck to Fusion - it looks like the company is really moving forward - I will continue to support their products and I hope they have every success.

I have to say I'm a bit sick of hearing Nozza moan about this - not just on this forum! I hope admins won't tell me off for going slightly off topic (again, I have been told off for this on another forum this week), but I just thought it was worth mentioning to Nozza the  price of Aero kit - £100 for a bag? £100 for pads? A bit much if you ask me, but then again for some people, I guess it's worth paying the extra money for such an innovative product...

You either buy the Aston Martin of fielding aid for £150 the price they are, or you can buy a Lada fielding aid, (which will rust) for £10.

Up to you really, I'd much rather have the quality of the Fusion over some crappy Kashmir rubbish.
