This has got me thinking for a while. Do people think that it is fair for brands to put their stickers on other brands products as below?

Personally no. You should promote the gear in which you are happy with as they have put so much work and effort in their own product only to have it covered up by another brand because they can not always compete financially.

Very unfair, don't sponsor if you don't have gear.

Not only is it unfair to the companies who provide such high quality equipment, its a rather shabby way of a small pakistani company to promote items they dont actually make.

I thought the main purpose of sponsorship, promoting and marketing your products was to increase sales and awareness of your products?

This theory obviously goes out of the window here

I don't find it fair but if I remember correctly many people have done this in past as well. for instance, Tendulkar wears BAS gloves but Adidas have there logo on them, same applies with pads he wears Morrant but you can see Adidas logo on top of it.

I believe a player is satisfied with one brand stuff and only wishes to use that but when he is sponsored by other company he doesn't like there stuff so he doesn't have any choice. i mean if Adnan really likes Aero KPR pads and is not sponsored by them but he wishes to use those pads as he find them comfortable etc so I don't think there is much a player or brand can do.

What about stickering up bats?

Stickering up bats is different. It comes down to originality and what level of IP protection the company has over their products.

The Aero pads are a unique design and the company who have placed the sticker over the 'Aero' logo are attempting to 'pass them off' as their own. Bats are far more general which makes it more difficult to gain IP rights. Unless of course a brand introduces something original, such as the Mongoose 'MMi'.

Might do I was referring to the fact they said they don't let there pro's use others bats and there stickers so a pro using a gm stickered bat is using a gm bat

So what about Sachin and his Morrant pads? They have Adjdas logo on them same applies with his gloves.

Ah okay. Smith, Botha etc are using 2010 stuff if I am correct whereas ABD seem to be using 2-3 year old stickers.

I believe same applies for Pakistani players. Umar Akmal was using 2010 stuff.

I believe these players are not getting latest stuff?
