Puma Keeping Gloves - Long or Short Cut
« on: November 30, 2010, 02:30:14 PM »

Does anyone know if the Puma range of keeping gloves are all short Aussie style cut?

I know the Kook silvers are long cut and would prefer that fit.

If anyone can help, would appreciate it. Thanks

Having always used Puma gloves I would say they were somewhere in between. There really isn't a lot in it- even compared to the 2011 Kook silvers.

I have never felt with Pumas that I needed extra protection on the wrist. I really do rate Puma 5000 gloves very highly- even if they do look horrible for 2011!

Yeah all kooks (being an aussie make) are short cut, other than the Silvers. Think I will be sticking with them. Puma's look horrible, unless I can find the blue and silver 5000's from last year

Think we have a winner. Not buying into Puma's disco colours this year but these are nice and seem to have a longer cuff

I use them at the moment and I love them. There are a pair on ebay that are brand new. Should end up cheaper than £59.

Long cuffs are definatly a personal prefference. I like the feeling of my elbows and shoulders taking the impact, when wearing short cuffs it seems the wrists are too free and makes it feel like catching rather than receiving the ball!!!

Why is it that the Aussies always go for short cuff though? Seems like an ever-long tradition that we go for the long cuff

Bouncier tracks and some feel it easier to cock the wrists to take "aussie" style with the fingers pointing up!
