Millichamp & Hall
« on: December 07, 2010, 06:50:23 PM »

Spoke to Nick today, had an appointment to go up there at some point for a custom...

Told me the prices are being upped to £360 for the bespoke experience...must be the 3rd most expensive now behind the SCAT and Laver, although they probably were already

If people will pay it, fair play to them. Truth is you can get a similar experience for much less.

Will you get the same quality bat though in your opinion?

Choose the right one and I don't see why not.

I must say I have never heard of a bad one, and the couple I have used have been absolute guns. I can get a Distinction 'off the rack' for £260 in the sale, but wanted the retro stickers, and given it would cost me £40 to get down there for the day, £400 really is pushing it. I know they are quality, might just sit this one out.

They do the retro at Owzat but wary of buying blind

Ask Rob or Nick to put some Retro labels on the bat before they send it for an extra £10 they will probably say yes :)

So just ask them to whip the Distinction sticks off and put the retro ones on?

Daft question I know mate, never had to worry about being picky like this before!

Yeah I would have thought that would be O.K, I've found that they are fairly laid back with that type of thing in my experience :) To be fair its a small thing for them to do and it will guarantee a £260 sale...

Just replied to Nick's email with a request so we shall see. Be a nice addition to Rob Pack's custom he has just finished me. It's an anti-tank missile by the sounds of it

Good Stuff, I used my Distinction for the first time properly on Sunday and it went very well!

If Nick does say no, give me a PM and I may be able to get hold of some as I have bought stickers from there around 4-5 times over the years and never had a problem!

Ian, have I seen a thread with your Distinction on here somewhere? If so, do you have a link?
