New Redback Cricket Bat
« on: December 07, 2010, 08:56:12 PM »

Hi

After years of taking pot luck on ebay and reading reviews on this site, I thought it was about time I bought the bat I really wanted.

Thought I'd share a few pictures of my new gorgeous new Redback. Weighs in a perfect (for me) 2lb 11oz. Quite a lot of bat for the weight, picks up beautifully. Definately the largest middle on a bat I've ever had!

Can't wait for nets next year to try it out!

Marcus

Its actually an Allegiance profile stickered as a paradox. Gary was superb in every way regarding getting this right for me. I can't recommend him enough. I've tried so many makes, but this is just head and shoulders better than anything I've had before. Well worth saving the pennies for!

There is something about the Redback willow, I don't know what it's origins are but it is very distinctive.

Sorry Marcus, I forgot to welcome you too! Happy posting, do you mind me asking how much the bat set you back? PM me if you don't want to say on here. Or just disclose of you don't want to say, I understand. It looks a cracker though, i too have yet to have seen a bad redback.

Can someone clarify the profiles for me?

where does a Paradox sit compared to an Allegiance?

Interesting point, looking at the site, the Allegiance is very similar to this one, maybe a graction higher middle, but not by much.
