Went to Wanstead CC nets - hopefully joining them. Anyone know much about them?
I know the first team captain very well, his brother and one of the other players there. Have played cricket with them on many occasions. Have a lot of ex-Essex players and also have those who make it into the Essex squad.

They sound a bit like Finchley...they get quite a few players, at least at colt level, into Middlesex...seem quite similar. Sounds like you are joining a good club then mate :)

Thanks tim and johan - glad I'm joining there then. As I haven't played in ages, it'll come handy that they have a large contingent of coaches - seemingly - willing to help. In the nets session, there is video footage assistance advertised; hopefully that'll be available to all levels who turn up.

Sound a good club to me. I love Highgate, everyone is friendly and willing to help. Not the biggest budget, but we do have some decent facilities, and a nice ground...nets at lords, though we have to pay, during the winter too!

Yeah quite a few. No surprise with Uxbridge, seeing as it is one of Middlesex's outgrounds. Southgate Walker Ground is a lovely deck too! Again another outground. Quite a few lovely decks to bat on in our area, Highgate's is pretty nice so that is good stuff! Bit of a road though...dunno if you've played at ours Frankie though the amount of 6s are an indicator... :)

1s,2s and 3s are all in MCCL Div 2, all aiming for promotion to the higher echelons in the coming years...! We're quite a small club with a lot of members, welcoming atmosphere and decent facilities. Not anything like North Midd etc, we're not overly rich, but have ample funds!
