I like how they cover themselves by putting Albion claim this is the worlds safest helmet and why cheaper than there other models if it's safer?

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Maybe it's the safest because no-one has been hit in one yet.

Can't see how a £30 helmet can be safer than an ayrtek which costs 3 times the price and has a lot of research/scientific fact behind it

Just because ours cost more doesn't automatically make it safer ;) it's more the materials and technology we use that makes it safer but these come at a cost!

A claim is also only valid until proven wrong.....

Presumably its their safest not their best, looking at the price, doesn't mention other factors like comfort weight etc a motorbike helmet maybe safer but would you wear it to play cricket

If it Is really the worlds safest helmet, why aren't any pros using and endorsing it? And surely If it was so safe the price would be higher, or dies that depend on materials?

To be the devil's advocate for one moment - Albion have years of experience and their helmets have been used consistently at the top level, while Tom's gear is relatively new - with respect, if anyone is suspect it's Ayrtek...

But both have been independently tested and the Ayrtek was shown to be far safer!

Would a pro of the calibre of Sangakkara choose an ayrtek helmet purely cause of the helmet either...? James Taylor was quoted as saying they look like they're the best on offer on the Market.
