Kinesio Tape
« on: December 17, 2010, 09:58:11 AM »

Was very skeptical about this but my physio applied it to my injured ankle and it seems to have worked wonders to reduce the swelling and help the healing process. Pleasently surprised, even though my lower leg looks like a cross between batman and spiderman!

Just interested on other people's views on it, have you used it? feel it worked or not?

As i said i thought it was probably bull but after finding out all about it and using it i would definately recommend for a few injuries!

yeah i can see why people would think its rubbish! but if your not expecting it to be magic and completely heal it like i wasnt then you'll be surprised at how ity speeds up swelling and pain release!!

Used it on my shoulder during the winter, worked great, very expensive tho!
A side note, people dont do this yourself! Have a trained Kinesio tapist apply it, otherwise it will end up hurting you

Yeh mine was done by the physio but i looked into doing the course and the tape is expensive! No i didn't but a mate of mine did, far more damage than good, Lymph node stimulation causes the reduced swelling
