dont see the point in this, batting with no intent, just taking time out of the game, declare now if were not gonna take it to them!

An amazing fightback by Australia. I'd actually put them as slight favourites now.

I feel I must step up in my capacity as an administrator and berate you for not putting some kind of smiley on the end of this - first time I read it I thought you were being serious! :P

Go swanny! loving him giving mitchell johnson some clout! that was a world class hoyne!

on the oz selection dilemma, how about brining Paine into the side to keep wicket (and grooming him as a future skipper), but keeping haddin as a specialist bat.

I think Ponting is a world class player, who england have bowled very, very well at, and also had their fair share of luck. I don't think ACB can drop him at the moment, as there is no one to step up and captain the team - they surely can't give Clarke the job when he is struggling for form too? Clarke has generally got out playing very poor shots - Ponting has been strangled twice (unlucky), out to a freak catch, and then had 3 good balls

or maybe they could drop Ponting and give the captaincy to Hussey on a short term basis?

Ok, gonna go with my oz team...

1. katich
2. Watson
3. Ponting (c)
4. Hussey
5. Haddin
6. Cameron White (another possible future skipper and surely a better player than Smith?)
7. Paine (again, being touted in the press as a captaincy candidate)
8. Johnson (inconsistent, but most likely match winner)
9. Hauritz (Punter doesn't like him, but he is Australia's best spinner and has experience to back it up)
10. Harris
11. Siddle

If Haddin was playing as a batter, than Khawaja is a better bet

agree with cameron white, think he is a better choice in front of clarke who seems to be the only other current candidate.
Hauritz should have been in from the start and could have provided punter with some control at times.
Not so sure about the haddin/paine debate......i rate haddin as a keeper who can bat well, perhaps pushing him up the order might give him a chance to excel a little more (or fail miserably!??)

I wonder if this current test match form will have a knock on effect with their one day side??

They lost to SL in an ODI series at home for the first before the Ashes

I think Haddin is a batter who keeps a bit - if you compare his keeping to Prior's, Prior is streets ahead - haddin has been Australia' best batsman after Hussey

I thought that hauritz had officially stated that if the selectors want him, he'll play. The yard sale incident seemed to me to be a flippant remark - I'm sure if he got picked for Sydney he'd be issued with brand spanking new Vodafone embroidered sweaters to replace the VB sweaters he has now sold anyway

it would appear that most test nations are currenly forming an orderly queue to kick the aussies while they are down, england doing a fine job of this at the moment......who's next??

Though we've been criticising Haddin's keeping, that was a rather good catch. I'm definitely all for Hauritz playing, why pick (No Swearing Please) state spinners, who would hardly make it into premier league cricket over here?! ???

India.

In their sleep.

Holding their bats up side down.

 ;)

I'm sorry, it is too easy.
