it will be a case by case basis - some will be really good, some might not - you need to try them ideally... I picked up a size 6 Puma from Romida the other day (a present for someone) and it was fantastic (I was amazed). So you can get lucky.

The ones that I have seen with Aswani cricket are good bats for their grade. The pick-up was good as well. I like the profile on these bats.

Aswani has some really good Puma bats in the lower ranges and some stunners in the 5000/6000 range. Mostly from the 2008 and the 2009 season stock but theya re worth it at the discounted peices (and possibility to haggle and get a few more ££ discount or some free stuff). Good chance to pick-up a bargain and send them off to Puma for a makeover (2010/2011 stickers) which will cost £20 or so.

I used to have an atomic 4000 in Harrow, and thought it very good when it was at it's peak..on a par with my ballistic 500 in Harrow; I think they're good quality bats, and you get a good price for £100..
