Owzat Cricket have very helpful staff, never tried Talent but their website is very smart. I'm sure both would help you out with whatever you wanted.

I found Owzat very expensive and not as customer friendly as some other stores.

No experience with Talent

Never used Talent but found Owzat's customer service first class and highly recommend.

Espo, if youre getting a new bat, why not get one from a custom batmaker on the forum?  :) though if you've got quite a few from here already, then I understand!

Talent are good (never been to their shop though) but they phoned me up to say they didn't have something in stock and would I like anything else instead before shipping.

Nice people

Owzat are friendly people who will help you out with any of your needs in the shop. Prices are decent also.

Talent have quite a few bats kicking around in the back of the shop, they have their own brand of Talent bats as well which are decent.

The Custom Bats are made by Hunts and they sometimes have a couple kicking around, they're cheaper because they have no stickers and are good bats. I've bought 2 from there and they've been good quality. They don't mind if you take your time picking stuff, I once spent 2 hours in there chatting and only bought an anti-scuff but I play cricket with Paul who runs it and he knows what I'm like.

Owzat is a bit farther for me up the motorway, 15 mins to Talent or 30 to Owzat. I haven't been ther for a while but they have a good selection of kit and they always have the clothes I want in my size which is nice. I did buy the best bat I've ever owned from there (GN Megadrive) so going on that I would recommend them.

It really depends on your brand preference or what you are looking to buy? both shops are helpful and a phone call to them for a quick chat might help your choice.

The B&Q near to Talent has a breakfast van which sells the most delicious Sausage cobs if that helps.

Cheers guys, I'm tempted to go to Talent, I mean I want some puma/mongoose pads and gloves. I dont really need another bat but I always want another and I specifically want to look at GN GM and Pumas bats
