Bleep Test

Hi all

Had first training session today, fitness + fielding drills.

Started off with Bleep test think scored 11.8 is this any good only beaten slightly by 17 year old(I'm 35) how does this rate

BTW have been doing some gentle jogs + cycling to work in the winter

11.8 is good, I only managed 11.1 last year

My best was 16 a while back bit that was when I was playing semi pro footie and our fitness coach was an ex army pti lol

Hopefully with decent level of fitness will be turning 1's into 2's etc like I was a couple of years ago

Haven't done a bleep test for a while, doubt I'm that good at it lol - I remember getting 8 when I was about 10, hopefully I can better that with a score similar to you guys'! :)

Level 11 is an average level but for someone who is 35 its above average and pretty good fair play!

Roco level 16 is pretty special . . .been a personal trainer for years and before that in the army and never witnessed it!

I have never done the bleep test but know the theory behind it!
Where so you buy them from? And how much are they? I assume it is a CD where the level speed increases gradually and everyone runs between two lines set to a specific distance apart?
When I was young we had the 'hide the smokes from the teacher' test! And the 'Snog the school bike (her name was Julie)without anyone seeing you' test!

Yeah its a CD, known as the multi stage fitness test and goes up to level 23 I think!!!

Basically run 20m in time with the 'bleep', you start off as a walk and by level 12/13 you are running quite hard level 15 you are sprinting!

Highest level ive heard anyone achieve is 18 . . . any guesses on who? (clue - he is a sportsman)

Pro footballers have to complete it mate as part of their fitness tests so it was good but when your fitness trainer is an ex army pti you have to be fit as they are fitness freaks as anyone in the army will tell you
