In his defence I would point you to this knock http://www.espncricinfo.com/ausdomestic-2010/engine/current/match/461034.html

and he could always bat at 4 and push colly, and morgan down a slot too. I seriously rate Davis but I just don't think he is good enough yet - and I think he will be. Prior on the other hand is playing better than ever at the moment and at the world cup I believe woudl be a better bet, if bedwetter isn't the option - which he could be at the top of the order.

For the world cup i would agree with you IF Davies doesn't quite perform beforehand. Otherwise id take out prior, open with davies and put bell to 3 shunting the others down a spot.
My ODI team in a year or twos time assuming certain players continue to develop would be: Davies-Strauss-Bell-KP-Morgan-Prior/Collingwood-Bresnan-Rashid-Broad-Anderson-Tremlett/Finn/Shazad
I can see prior down the order in ODI's, just not up the order. I think Davies is good enough to be given a gig in the T20 and a chance in ODI, if he doesnt come good just yet prior can always come back in for the world cup.

I think this discussion proves how strong the players in or around the squad are at the moment.
