How to refurb a bat
« on: January 14, 2011, 08:51:41 AM »

Hi Guys
I will now make my first attempt, to refurb my bat.
What is the easiest way to get fibertape and stickers of? I have heard somthing about a hairdryer for the stickers, but nothing for the tape..

I just carefully pull these off across the grain of the bat.

Did anyone else read the thread title and expected to see that someone had taken time to write a guide on how to refurb a bat?

Any problems fella let me know but normally a hairdryer will help loosen up the sticker adhesive etc and always try and remove stickers and tape across the grain so as to avoid lifting pieces of wood with the stickers/tape etc.

i would've though white spirit would be good, but not much, if at all near the splice, same with the hair dryer I guess.

Same way
Warm them up with hairdryer and then remove going sideways, across the bat
