Plain White SS Wicket Keeping Paads
« on: January 16, 2011, 07:32:18 PM »

Thought I would put a bit of a mini review up on these pads.

I'd been searching for plain unbranded pads for some time and luckily I stumbled along these.

I bought these off Aswani Cricket for a very reasonable price of £25 including delivery. Once payment was sent they arrived within 3 days, which I was thrilled with.

They are really lightweight, and far comfier than my top of the range Slazenger pads I had from last year.

I personally think they look very classy, and remind me of the classic Kookaburra range nearly 10 years ago. Many Kookaburra sponsored wicketkeepers seem to have them made very similar to what they were like then, with the 'Bubble' effect.

Really pleased with them, and also the service which came with them was second to none!

I recently purchased a very similar pair, although not with the bumpy bits, only worn once but felt fantastic. Hugged my legs in all the right places. Highly reccomended!

I think he would have to do a mirror-style photo for that, seeing as he got them recently. I am sure you'll be able to put some pics up of you wearing them in a game when the season comes around, Tom?

Yeah, pretty sure there will be a photographer down at our pre season friendly games so I'll keep you posted.

Don't think he has any exact copies of the above, although Aswani have some nice fairly plain ones. In fact he also has some unbranded ones up for sale on here:

Used for the third time on Wednesday for around an hour and a bit. Loosened up as the session progressed; again very hugging in the right places and not to bulky that you know they're there.

Nice! I have yet to wear mine for any considerable amount of time, but that will all change soon. You should get some pictures of your pads up on here! I'm intrigued!
