Millichamp And Hall - Amplus ( @ Globe Sports )
« on: January 20, 2011, 03:34:24 PM »

Popped into Globe sports today to have a look at there M/H bats. They had 3 for sale @ £342 (£304 online), weights 2-9,2-11,2-12. All 3 looked better than the one peplow recieved yesterday, picked up really well and the middles did not look to be that high up the bat. The handles did seem thinner than normal and the half grip was probably 2/3rds up the handle. Measured one bats edges using my phone, was easily around 40mm.
They had 2 distincions, thin-ish edges around 25mm with massive spines. Pick up for me was not good, felt really heavy.
GM Luna's picked up lovely, looked big bats, shame about brownish gold stickers..
Boom Boom bats were big and felt nice.
Best Bat in the shop pick up wise was the Mongoose Cor3. £128. Great value, big bats.
Some pics of the Amplus and Distincion ( pics took on iphone ( blame Apple )

Felt bottom heavy on pick up. Dead weight was fine.
Best pick up in the shops were the Mongoose cor3.

Good stuff d7bow!

Just wondering is that the normal Distinction profile? Doesn't it seem a bit higher than usual Distinction we have seen? Also is the spine suppose to look like this? I have seen many other Distinction on forums and they had higher spine.

This Amplus certainly looks better than Peps! Looks tempting

Yes normal standard profile distinctions, small ish edges and massive high spines.
Must say I would of bought an amplus today if I didn't have 4 bats already.

You sure it is standard Distinction? Because the profile is quite similar to Amplus with the difference that Distinction have a high spine compare to Amplus. Also the middle doesn't seem to be very lowish :(

By the way, the Oblivion you say were they big in profiles?
