Batmakers

Im sat at home watching the Asian Cup semi-finals (football) and to got wondering what standard of cricket batmakers on this forum play? e.g. representative, premier league, div one etc etc

Leading on from that - How many bats do you own? Do you use your own brand? And how tempted are you to keep the bats you make when they come out looking mint??

Thanks

I'm a excellent representative player of Social BBQ and Beer Cricket. 2 pint minimum for all players before start - £1 whip from all players goes to help the guy pay for the 22 pints on first drop catch.  Umpire is in charge of Batsmens pints and fielders closet to the pavilion is charge the fielding team beer jug.

Wicked left arm unorthodox spin, bat right handed with left hand used as a helmet if required.

I own lots of bats mainly UK made classics from J Millichamps, J Newbery, GN and SS [Surridge].  I also have 2 of my own do I use them, yes I do.  I do like using my SS Jumbo though!

Have I sold bats I would have like to have kept, yes all the time!  A really recent example was an Audax went out today and I loved it, but I make them to be used not for me to have a museum of great bats.  I love hearing about peoples innings with them, watching players use them and I'm forever looking out for articles or details of how my bats are doing. That fills the gap for me really
