A pro collection
« on: January 26, 2011, 01:04:40 PM »

Below is a collection of pro bats which I've got kicking around in my bag and office at the moment. Excuse the poor quality photos, if there's any requests for particular bats. Let me know.

From L - R

Adam Gilchrist's Calibre Reserve - Used whilst at M'Sex
Matthew Hayden's MMi3 - Used for net practice in India
Dennis Lillee Combat - Don't know the history of this one!
Marcus Trescothick's GM Hero - Used for 100 against WI in Champions Trophy Final
Nick Compton's Puma Kinetic 2010 - Used last season whilst at Somerset, completely knackered but nice shape.
Gareth Andrew MMi3 - Used at the Oval last season for his debut 100, signed and now in a case.
Andrew Symonds GN - Restickered for use in a couple of IPL games, then given to copy whilst he was at Surrey.

Any questions on specs, grains accepted. Individual hi-res pics too.

All a very similar weight (between 2lb 8-10).

Heaviest is Gareth Andrew's bat, weighing in at just over 2lb 11oz. It's the lighter of the 2 he used last season.

I've got thicker hair than that Combat!! Amazing looking bit of gear.

Gilly's bat looks a corker

It's around 2lb 8oz, 99% sure it's not a Millichamp. Not actually sure who's made it, but I'd guess Indian made. It's a legit Puma bat, a very good one at that.

The Gilchrist bat is truly something special. He's their headline player and you can tell that due to the bats he gets.

Gareth Andrew one is my personal fave though as it has something sentimental about it.

Impressive stuff Tom!

Gillys bat is something special, and just wondering that if its legit Puma do you think it is made by Rob Pack?

Also interesting to see that none of these bat look like low density bats.
