Keith was wearing the 2010 grille we fitted the Warwickshire lads out with..these had the square mounting plates on them which gave more options for settings in terms of distance between peak and grille which we decided wasnt the best option to have as could lead to unsafe settings being applied....the actual helmet is sat in the office now on the shelf still

Yes mate I do (with lots of tape due to a couple of bars snapping). I have an Albion grille as I used an Albion lid for about 4 years prior to getting an Ayrtek and it was the only helmet I used so I was accustomed to the view, if you like. Plus imo it looks nicer

I am approaching the conclusion that helmets are not made for those of us who are outside the 98th percentile of population.

I have put the Albion grill on to the Ayrtek helmet, and while it fits great, and no longer risks my chin, i am left in the unenviable position of having a 7cm gap. Far too large and one through which a cricket ball moving at any speed is likely to pass rather easily.

What do I do? I'd like to use the Ayrtek helmet, but with the various grill combinations, it doesn't really work. Ideally I'd have a slightly larger Ayrtek grill.

The others of you with big heads, how big is your albion grill gap? What do you think about it?

The thing for me is that the way the Ayrtek is designed it's clearly going to take any impact around the peak much better than the Masuri, and I really want to use it. I'm open to any other suggestions as to how i might fix this!

Your option is to purchase the Albion ti22 grille, I have done this and it fits over my chin fine now,

good stuff! everything about is decent dont think it helps that ive removed the chin strap off and just have the cloth under my chin lol
feels more comftable that way for me just means the grill touches my chin some times and i dont think it covers it all

Yes but you get a 70 mm gap through which the ball fits.
