Had our first indoor nets tonight. I batted for about 10 minutes and middled one, bit disappointed with my batting in all honesty, hit a nice straight 6/one bounce 4 last ball though.

Bowling on the other hand was pretty consistent both seam up and leg-spin however couldn't get my googly right tonight.

-Fitness
and finally...
-Getting my feet moving

Don't tend to bother about the results of shots too much as you'll soon find that those lovely cover drives you were timing beautifully on the up end up flying straight into the hands of cover when you get stuck in on an early season pudding of green in early April.

One thing I would add is that Indoor Nets tend to differ with me depending on who I am playing with. For School and Club, I bat properly, and keep my wicket. Thus in 8 nets of this kind, I've not been bowled.
But today, I had a net with some friends at lords, and just had a bit of a 20/20 bash, so I got bowled once, but it is more light-hearted so I don't mind. Out of 3 nets with mates, I have been bowled 3 times, which is suggestive of the way I play in this situation...but I try to enjoy whatever I am doing either way :D

Try and get my feet moving, play each ball on its merits, not on the bowler, keep my backlift controlled and not too high, then try and hit the ball. I can't seem to leave the ball in the nets so need to try that!

I try and bat the same as in a match depending on the bowling, better seamers leave where possible and put away the bad ball when it comes along and the rest play positively against and move my feet to the spinners. And move feet in general/not get out

Nets tonight was BS. We had 30 people turn up, not so good when you only have 2 nets. I had a few balls, was told I couldn't bowl seam up to some of the younger batsmen so I took myself to the side with bat and tennis ball and utilised the wall. Most consistent net I've had for a while, probably as no-one else was involved.

I had my first net of the winter tonight, was good to get back playing. Had a good 20mins session with the bat and balls were flying off the middle of my solitaire, used the Joker for the first time - took a bit of time to get used to but it was flying off that as well.

My bowling was all over the shop to start with, but after my bat I was getting some decent shape and consistency. Looking forward to the next session now.
