ACIS Elite and ACIS Elite Raw
« on: February 07, 2011, 08:14:46 AM »

Just wondering what the difference between the ACIS Elite and ACIS Elite Raw is apart from the appearance/finish?

Rik

No difference in them in terms of the materials used but the RAW has a carbon finish and a lacquer coat of it to bring out the carbon fibre weave.

Thank you - one further question and I don't mean to sound rude when I ask, why is the price difference between the two so large in that case?

Cheers.

As the RAW helmets are made via a 2 cure process rather than a 1 process method to ensure that they come out in a superior finish if they are to be left unpainted as such

Knew there would be a reason :) Thanks.

Do Ayrtek still do an offer for Premium Forum Members?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm pretty keen to organise a helmet ASAP.

I afraid not this offer expired at the end of 2010 due to increases in raw materials and VAT we could no longer continue it.

Fair enough Tom.

Thanks for the info gents - now it's just down to making a decision and finally ordering a helmet! :)

Yeah wont be priced to everyone liking but unfortunately with carbon fibre and kevlar its not a cheap material to work with....on the up side the Premier is still a great product and still lighter than many other brands.
