Ok ENG vs the Orange today, starting at 9 - the Orange are batting. watch out for Kerveezee - a Saffa who is English qualified sometime in the summer and has some talent (as do the Dustcart and Bas Z).

Team news
 England team
AJ Strauss*, KP Pietersen, IJL Trott, IR Bell, PD Collingwood, RS Bopara, MJ Prior†, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, GP Swann, JM Anderson
 Netherlands team
AN Kervezee, W Barresi†, TLW Cooper, RN ten Doeschate, B Zuiderent, TN de Grooth, PW Borren*, Mudassar Bukhari, PM Seelaar, BP Loots, BA Westdijk

Anyone else thing our middle order (IR Bell, PD Collingwood, RS Bopara, MJ Prior ave height about 5ft9) is too full or short ar5es and needs a 6ft3biffer in there?

First game for England about to get underway...

Can't help but think they've got 1 too many batsmen out there... I feel as though Yardy should be playing as well as Swann.

Its quite a long batting lineup isnt it. Expect collingwood, bopara and trott to bowl to make up the lack of 2nd spinner

Yes (obviously, I rate myself better than Bell, Collingwood and Bopara, not sure the stats agree though) - although I'm not quite 6ft3!!  ;)

and don't forget KP's off spin filth

True, but yardy should be used in this squad (especially in India) to restrict the runs. Medium pace is going to be quite gentle and nice on these type of pitches whereas Yardy seems very hard to get away.

England not playing Yardy is probably due to the reason their next couple of games are at Bangalore. Seamers do better their than spinners

also I think the pitches are all so flat and dead that everyone will get smashed around the park so you may as well play the bits and pieces bowlers.
