I reckon deVillers' 2 spring handled bat is a Gray Nichols as if you look near the shoulders there are two thin stripes.

anyone else notice AB deVilliers' bat has 2 springs in the handle?
the answer to this is that AB has quick hands and is a hockey player - as a result he likes a bat with a stiffer handle as it suits his game better...

Thing is I have seen pollard do that before when it was marginal he just heard the umpire and pulled out got to feel for the umpire though "no ball" oh wait "dead ball" ha
