SS Limited Edition Gloves 2011
« on: February 14, 2011, 01:41:13 PM »

Does anyone have a pair of these gloves.

Here is the link: http://uzisports.com/product_info.php?products_id=738

If so, what are they like? They look good, but it is only a generic image and not ones taken by Asad, so I can only go by these. Any Info will be much appreciated.

The gloves are extremely good....though they do not have a pittards palm.

The fact that SS manufactures gloves for other brands such as Newbery speaks volumes about the quality of their softs.

Thanks mate. I am not to fussed about the leather, so I'll purchase some of these tomorrow when I get paid.

Living in Australia, I didn't actually know that, I guess you learn something new everyday.

I was thinking about getting the SS Supertest Blue Cameo LE gloves, but then Asad bought these out and they look better but as they were only generic pics, I couldn't be 100% sure, but now I am.

Thanks again.

He deffinately sounds like a very nice bloke.

Now this is just unfair, Asad emailed me and said "my God u have picked up a beauty. i am 110 % sure that u will like it." Now you have said that it is a belter. I can be pretty impatient at the best of times, but the wait is going to kill me, ahaha :D, I am so keen for it to get here.

I'm going to be super optimistic and hope it gets here by Friday, but I think it will get here early next week.

Did you visit his store? If so, did you grab anything? If I went I would have to go in with a set amount of cash and leave my wallet at home as I can be a bit of an impulse buyer and I like to buy cricket gear the older I get (I've easily been to GCCC 6-8 times this Aus season) and with Asad's brilliant gear, I think I'd go broke.

Not really important, but I was just wondering if you could tell me how big you reckon the edges were.

Getting the tape measure out......edges are 35mm at their widest....hope that helps.

I have worn SS Supertest gloves but not these LE ones and to be honest I must say they are very good gloves, I'd certainly recommend them.

That's okay, but from the pictures the bat looks around that size, big and light is fantastic. Do you know how long it would take arrive to Australia?

I've tried on the SS gloves and they're the best protection I've seen and they feel well made. However compared to the likes of GM/Kook they are are smaller sized (standard mens) and too tight for me. Does anyone know if SS do oversized mens gloves? If so I'm getting mysef a pair.

Yes we have SS OS Men LE and Gladiator gloves. The ones we have they are made for UK men so standard size should fit OK. If your hands are big then u can buy the OS men.
