It made me laugh how set in their ways and naive some of the "normal" cricketers are out there, and possibly some what boring! I dont include us on here as the normal breed!
I am saying this as i was asked to get a load of used bats for the quiz we had the other night and a list to email to 6 people yesterday as well for people to browse over.
I originally took down:
Mongoose MMI (**)
Black cat (**)
Kookaburra kahuna
Kookaburra Ice (*)
GN Powerbow
My redback (**)
a blank
interestingly all the ones i considered the best ones are makred with a (**) and not bad to be (*)
Now they all had a ponder and guess which ones sold, all the kooks, the gn and the blank, leaving the best 3 left, except my redback all the prices were the same...
I then emailed the remaining list out to people that wanted the list and included a redback premier and a salix pod one grade one (not in the very best nick i will admit could do with a teeny bit of tlc) and included a pretty shabby gn evo
And again prices were all the same give or take £10 and the evo was the only one that sold! and a few requests for a kook or adidas bat....
I was somewhat gobsmacked and wondered whether i was looking at these bats weirdly but low and behold they are all being snapped up well on here!
In conclusion, normal cricketers are odd, and dont like to try naything they havent heard of, maybe an influence of the tv and players? or just plain boring people?!
