I do agree with 100* - thanks for taking the time to answer! Out of interest, what prompted the sticker change from 2010 to 2011, I mean the style has changed a lot since the last 5 years? Is this style something you will be persevering with? They are starting to grow on me now! But the only set I don't like is the Apex one... :|
GM's market share since we moved to our DXM processes has grown substantially, mostly at the expense of brands such as Adi, Slaz and Kookaburra who don't have their own factories and therefore cannot make their own bats, nor rigorously control design and quality that ends up in your hands.
The brand is on the move, we cannot stand still. When we looked at how the brand appeared on the diversity of goods we supply from bats to shoes to bags to pads etc, in truth we had become a little inconsistent and lacked brand clarity particularly when seen on TV / on the web / in the newspapers etc. So we sat down with the clever bods who understand these things and rationalised our logo in particular to that which you see in the 2011 range.
Quite a brave decision perhaps as folk (a) particularly liked the 2010 bats and (b) are notoriously conservative. However, sometimes you have to do these things to ensure the longevity of the brand and the continual, gentle evolution that will unfurl. Classy, timeless, confident and clear, we're enjoying our (subtly different) new look. Hope you do too!
Kind regards
Edward
