set up as if fielding in a game. players in various positions. you as the batsman. giving either catches or ground fielding. then shout which end fr the fielder to have a shy at the stumps. the other fielders should back up and then throw to the keeper!

Classic drill, but excellent!

A good drill Tom :) - but probably a bit difficult given the space Mark had/has... :|

Also a quick one that I use with my U16's before games. Hopefully this will make sense!

                          3RD

                                          STUMP 2

          1ST                           STUMP 1                                 2ND
                                           (WK)

Keeper starts with the ball and underarm throws along the ground to the 1st group. They attack the ball and have an underarm throw at the stumps. The 2nd group back up and then have an overarm throw at stump 2, whilst the 3rd group back that throw up. The 3rd group then throw to the keeper and the process carries on. Each time the thrower follows the ball. So the 1st group after having a shy then move to the 2nd group etc etc.

One with juniors for indoor use. Basic catching really. Set up in a line with you hitting catches and ground fielding to them. To add a bit of competition if they drop a catch then they go to the bottom of the line, if they misfield, down one place.
