Asics Gel Advance 3 LE or Asics Gel 180 NO ???
« on: February 21, 2011, 09:09:12 PM »

Hi Guys,

I like both pair of these but would like a bit of recommendation of which is the better shoe if anybody has them or has had the same style?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Sean

copycat :D
Have ordered a pair through Pinchy - hopefully receiving them later this week. Will try and do a review on the cosmetics and comfort - hopefully this may help?

I will be comparing them to http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=2262.msg25079#msg25079 - the gel advances in this post. They have been the best spikes i have owned, so i'm hoping the gel advance 3's are lighter, more supportive and equally as comfortable.

On a similar note, to do with asics spikes.
Does anybody know if spare asics spikes are available to buy? I've been looking for a while but cant seem to track them down.......are they available or just an urban myth???

Sean,
I just bought a pair of Advance 3s the other day having had the lime green adidas low cut spikes for 2 years. Compared to the advances, I thought the 180s seemed quite bulky stiff- I bowl medium pace but still prefer something light and flexible to feel the ground I run on. I expect to use the advnaces for bowling aswell as batting. They are definitely more low to the ground than other shoes which I think gives a far better feel for batting. My only criticism is that asics persist in placing only 2 spikes in the rear and I always play with full spikes. It only becomes apparent when playing on rock hard pitches, which come about once every blue moon if you play in the Northern League!
