Talisman Fuji Bat
« on: February 24, 2011, 06:39:50 PM »

Last week I played an order with Mike (Talisman) after many e-mails querying about any bats he had in my price range and what I was looking for. After a few pictures were sent I couldn't decide what to go for, so I trusted Mikes opinion on the Talisman bats that he had and went for a 2'9 blank Talisman Fuji, so he put some stickers and a grip on and sent it me.

I received the bat not too long after purchasing the bat, and needless to say - it's lovely. It comes slightly heavier than 2'9 due to going for a spiral grip and a hammer edge sheet on it but it picks up beautifully at around 2'8. The bat is huge for the weight and everyone knows what they 'ping' like so I won't even bother going into it because I could be here all day.

Can't wait to get it knocked in a bit more and then take it to nets to have a play with it! Anyway, here are the pictures(not the best quality and do not give the bat justice!);

Enjoy.

I'm not entirely sure on the Fuji shape, that's one for Mike - But that's all he had when I spoke to him.

Sadly I cannot take credit for the hammer sheet application as Mike put it on...

This may sport the Storm labels but I sell very few in the Storm shape at the moment, this is my new Fuji shape, labels have been designed but not yet printed they will be done at the same time as another complex label yet to be finished.

This shape is has a classical long moderate spine that builds and drops smoothly. It is not the highest or most extreme shape but will be very popular is early signs are anything to go by.

I hope you get some good use out of it Matt, it is a bit bigger for the weight than you might normally get in a bat but hopefully that is seen as a good sign.

Hammer Edges are simple to fit so not a lot of credit for getting it fitted really....

Looking forward to seeing the new stickers. Is the other 'new complex label' an entirely different shape,meaning you will have two basic shapes? Also, liked the grip applied to jonpinson's new beast.

I will revert to the Storm shape with an updated version on these labels, this shape with Fuji labels and a third range that will have 3 basic shapes with 3 versions of labels.

I like those grips myself as the bottom hand is a lot thicker than the top hand.

Yes, it is my match bat shape too really, once I've got rid of this TT that seems to be going quite well. I can always supply a custom in any shape.

Do they come in any other colours eg gold? as may be in the market for some nice grips soon...

At the moment I only have Pink and Silver, they can be made in any combination if you need a decent quantity.
