One word: Massive. Thoughts?
-
Eleven words. My thoughts on the game or this new word count system? ;)
Naa in all seriosuness its big if we dont wanna look like idiots and tod on home with our pants aorund our ankles!!
-
Oh dear, tredwell's playing...
-

lol. Just can't believe matty priors opening again. he's had more chances than Mark ramprakash.
-
geez you blokes are tough! Prior is a jet, he did look a little frajile against very quick stuff in Australia but in the sub-continent against this windies attack he'll be right.
-
Prior fails again. There's a surprise...
-
Prior needs to go down the order, go on trott, I hope he carries thus on for the rest of the innings...
-

21 off 21 sure he would have liked more runs, but hardly a fail, his role opening means he'll come off or he wont. (cant believe I'm an aussie defending poms!)
-
Trott's on fire!
-
cracking catch by the 'cool dude' Gayle
-
Strauss out now, anyone thinking par score is 280...
-

300 plus mate
-
Trott out
-
Going to need morgan & co to score a few now....
-
This looks a horrible deck for the batmsen , i think 225 will be enough to be honest , with the batting windies have get top 5 and your away
-
I'm not watching it, what's the reckon like?
-
The pitch was very easy early on, but it looks like its turning a fair bit now.
-

Nothing wrong with the pitch. Seamers getting smashed and Benn hardly got any turn. England seem unable to dominant the debutante leggie
-
bell out , that kept low didnt it ! could be in a little bit of trouble now
-
two spinners could be critical for england, especially when its tredwell rather than yardy as he might actually turn it
-
Tredwell might put it on off stick instead of leg
-
England are in trouble...
-
England subsiding here, Bishoo looks a decent find foe the Windies
-
however with chris gayle opening and this pettyful batting display it could be over before the spinners get a bowl, unless we open with one of them ha
-
Were going home, were going home, were going, Englands going home!
-
just got to hope swann can do it them
-
Were going home, were going home, were going, Englands going home!
Looks that way . was never going to progress anyway when broad kp etc were ruled out
-
Were going home, were going home, were going, Englands going home!
We won the ashes
-
Luke Wright looks like he is filling his pants everytime Roach bowls
-

lol i certainly would be!
-
I've found batting from square leg helps ha ha
-
We won the ashes
And that is why this England team will never be ranked number 1! They love to live in what they have achieved, not what they are going to achieve.
-
we have to believe even though it does look very bleak i keep the faith we have one of the best spinners in the world on a pitch that is turning square plus temmers on a pitch which seems up and down and tredwell is very accurate so you never know still need 200+ at least
-
We make 235 or more we will win. I just dont have that much faith in old Ravi, or Mr Trigger himself Luke Wright.
Bresnan can smash a few as could Swann. Dont really rate Tredwell with a bat, and then Tremlett will slog or go home. So theres a small chance.
-
What we now need is a dodgy umpire decision, so we can pretend that was the reason we didnt go through. ala England Vs Germany.

shush mr negative! Are you related to boycott? ;)
-

But this isnt a "golden generation" so they were never destined to win anything

or because we play to much cricket. Not fussed if we go out now or in the quarters, at least then they can have a proper rest.
I think 99 out of 100 people would rather win the ashes than the ODI World Cup, if we had the choice. A 4/5 month tour has made that choice for us.
-
Bopora's wicket is typical England. Gripped with fear. Not taking powerplay to disrupt opposition. Shame. Still not out of it, but need a miracle...

Funny how in the past Australia has basically managed both...
I dont see why we played such a long ODI against Australia, we would have been better off giving the players two weeks rest.
However I just dont like to see our players embaressing themselves like they have done in this tournament. Were a semi final team, who have the ability to win it. Just wish we had shown it.

Didn't know Australia have been overseas for 5 months - did I miss that?
-
See simple were full of excuses. Lovely.
Just been on the phone to BA the seats have been booked.
-
yes were tired but no more than the aussies but still no excuse but over 200 we are in this i still believe
-
Dont get me wrong, I want England to go through. I genuinly believe this side should go through. Im just embaressed at the consistancy of the side. No player has settled and made a decent score today, and were desperate for it.
They wont have seen much of Tredwell so there is that advantage, however the WI dont usually care who is bowling they want to smash them anyway.
-
don't rush to judgment. it might be one of those pitches that youre not sure whats a good score until both sides bat.
-
It is just so frustrating. Man for man we beat them with the exception of Gayle and possibly Roach. I believe them when they say they are tired but I don't think it is tiredness in a physical sense. More that they have been away since November and I can imagine that the novelty of touring has well and truely gone away. It also can't help that they are having to jump on a plane every few days due to the sheer size of the area they are playing in now.
It doesn't excuse it, but I get the impression they are one fed up bunch of people probably sick of the sight of each other.
-

Must be nice for the Aussies to go home between games, unwind, see loved ones. Of course it makes absolutely no difference at all, living out of a suitcase for 5 months.
-
Im happy to be proved wrong, but for me this is a match now for 4 players come the second innings.
Pollard and Gayle WI - They could take the game totally away from us.
Tredwell and Swann - The pitch is begining to look dusty with nice foot holes, we have a shout.
I would love Tremlett to bowl the way he can, but not sure if he can do enough on his own.
-

So remind me whose decision was it for us to have it organised this way? Were the ECB not involved in this?
We can blame it on being tired all we want, Its poor preperation, leading to a poor performance. The players have got to take a significant part of the responsibility for that.
If not bring on the WC being played in England, otherwise we will not be taking part.
-
Oh and does living out of a suitcase take responsibility for 24 wides given to Bangladesh, or that sloppy run out?
-
Going to take a gamble and predict a 250 from England. Not a total collapse so im maintaining some faith.
-
ECB / Cricket Australia and Money. Smacks of greed. 7 ODI's involving travelling to every point of Australia and Sydney twice over 3/4 weeks?
When you are tired you make mistakes, happens in every walk of life in every job.
-
Luke wright could be the saviour here !!!!!
-
Dont get me wrong, I agree it has an impact. However I dont believe it has such an impact that we bowl so badly against Ireland, Netherlands and Bangladesh. Even India I felt our bowling was poor. Yet we raised our game vs SA.
Still I feel Wrights given us a platform to actually get a result here. Unless its just a sign its really a 300 pitch.
-
you never know with the windies, 350 may not be enough, but 120 could be enough...
-
Should have taken the PP before now.
-
England don't know how to use Powerplays and then don't use them properly.
Our tailend batting, even oputside of powerplays, seems to come down to slog and swing. Our tailenders don't seem to try and play "cricket shots" and score runs sensibly, which I am sure they are capable of doing. I know the aim of the powerplay is to score runs quickly with big hits, but surely it's better to score runs steadily at 1 or 2 a ball, keeping things ticking over, even in a powerplay, if you aren't a six-hitter, and not get out, rather than swing at 4 out of six balls, edge one for four and then get out on the fifth?
Or maybe I'm just old fashioned?
-
Does anyone have a link to a stream for this?
-
look on myp2p
-
whats the score?
-
what do you reckon then guys ? who's your money on
-
England 243 all out.
-

Well I want england to win, but just put a cheeky little bet on Windies to win it at 6/5. England are favourites according to Will Hill and I thought this was a very good bet.
-

Well I said 235 and I think we will win, so Im going to stick with it. But will be nail biting stuff.
-
we will loose by 3 wickets - it will look great for a while - but Pollard will see the WIndies home as he takes on the Bopara/Wright/Treadwell/Trott 20 overs of pies.... I can't believe that we are favourites.
-
look on myp2p

GAYLE ON FIRE !!!!!!
-
Mr Gayle is on a bit of a mission.. got to get him early!! 35 off 15 so far.
-
He has clearly got a hot date this eveing an needs this game over.
-
39 now off 16 :L
-
How rubbish is Chris Gayle?!?!
-
Did the England boys have a 3pm Flight they have to get to or something?
-
Doesn't get any easier. Get him out you've still got Pollard waiting in the dressing room. Damage might be done by then anyway!
-
How rubbish is Chris Gayle?!?!
Not very!
One word. Awesome.
maybe ishhan bats will become poplular here?
-
hes out now gayle ! well done tredwell
-
Not very!

REVIEW PENDING
I told you he was rubbish!!!
-
I would be a bit miffed if that decision was given against me...
-
Thought the DRS would save him to be honest. Looked minumum 2.5m from the stumps! Couldnt have got much of a stride in. Games wide open now, as WI love a collapse.
-
Sorry but where was Tredwell vs Bangladesh?
He seems a good bowler vs LHB and it's common knowledge that Bangladesh have 6 LHB!!!
-
Does Sammy usually bat this high?
-
go tredders but how are we letting sammy do this c'mon he has never batted above 6 before
-
Not very!
One word. Awesome.
maybe ishhan bats will become poplular here?
i played against an ihsan last season and its possibly the biggest bat ive seen out in the middle and he said it was only 2.9
-
great advert for bas if sammy can hit it that far
-
Tredwell picked up another one, seems a decent bowler on this type of track, shame you didn't work tht out earlier in the WC, another lefty goes!
-
At least supporting England can never be considered boring
-
scores on the doors?
-
95-3
-
Game is wide open now 118-5 . England favourites now i say
-
When did Sarwan start using SF? Thought he was a GN boy
-
i have kept the faith and i still believe
-
this is gonna be a great finish, hopefully we win
-
is this shaping up to the be the worst bowling powerplay ever?
4.1-3-4-1 so far?
-
is this shaping up to the be the worst bowling powerplay ever?
4.1-3-4-1 so far?
especially with Pollard at the crease
-
will someone tell prior to shut the f**k up as he is giving it the big one to pollard and he is giving it back
-
just heard Pollard got dropped, that could be very costly
-
twice prior just dropped one as well
-
Thats it i reckon , england 's to lose ! pollard gone
-
We're out
-
We're out
100 percent correct
-
6 for me
-
Out for me, no proof at all that he touched the rope, the shadow he's cast made it look closer
-
6 for me.
-
Brilliant I told you earlier we needed the bit of controversy so we can have something to pretend changed the game! That's what we got!
-
We're out
Standing by this claim
-
6 for me. Shame for Russel, he batted very well, dunno weather it pitched in line or not! Surely Sarwan will carry them over the line from here though, experienced at this situation
-
Come on England were still alive! Just!
-
I take that back...
-
who would be an england fan can we not just win or loose easy
-
Pretty irresponsible shot from him, leaving it all down to the new guy! Start the car England! Better than starting the plane.
-
Two teams playing each other who are adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
-
I never stopped believing! ;)
-
Winning like that pretty much sums up both side's performances....
-
i always believed but im going for a long lye down
-
Brilliant Top Top Class entertainment. Not a great performance but top entertainment.
-
Intense game, so many twists and turns.
Just hopefully things go Englands way now!
-
got to go through it all again in the QF's!
If anyone explain how a team who drops catches, has little or no working seam attack and reguarly fails to bat 50 overs can beat or tie with India/SA/Windies I'll be astonished. Then explain how they can lose to minnows in the group...
-
It's England! That's the explaination.
-
I have a feelign that England will go all the way now..
-
I'm still confident my prediction will come through
