we are adding reward points for every item you buy from our web site. These points can be used towards your future purchase. This functionality is being implemented at the moment and hoping to be ready by 1st of Jan. I'll hopefully explain this in more detail in the next few days.
If any one has any other good suggestion how we can reward our customers, plz let me know.
Regards
Asad

Just to clarify that customers will get around 10% money back (reward points), so for every £100 spent, you will get £10 back.
what do u guys think?
-
Sounds a good idea. Is there a time frame on the points expiring?
-
Sounds like a great idea Asad. :D
-
There is no time frame for points expiring. As long as we r in business u can use them whenever u like
-
Is this for online purchases only Asad?

Yes true, we are also thinking of starting a discount membership card system.
Any clubs who come to us for clothing, we will offer 5 % to all the members of that club.
-
Good idea, I will look into that.
If there are any other good ideas plz let me know

Have to say that something akin to a nectar card with a number that identifies it instore or online is a top idea. Its surprising how many decisions are disproportionately influenced by the whole nectar card thing...
...isit just me or are retailers getting ever more competitive on here?

Same mate 10% back off what we spend is very generous!!

It is.
This might be one of those questions that provokes disopprobium from forum sponsors but I ownder if this competitiveness is also a symptom of increased margins, perhaps linked to the consistent rise in the cost of top and medium range gear over the past five years?

The bat prices have risen a bit ridiculously over the years..... think last year you could get a GM 909 for £150 now theyre £200 :o

Five years ago I picked up a GN Pro Performance for £209...now their top of the range bats are over £350...
-
Thats a crazy price for a GN top off the range now-a-days
-
Aye - and I'm sure the willow on my Phoenix is better than most of what they graed top now!
-
Retail will only get more competitive over the next few years, I'd expect to see margins get smaller unless there is price fixing as people compete for business.

You have to take into account that the manufacturing processes aren't getting any cheaper though, not to mention the price of materials! I think that the price of tennis balls rose by about 10p per ball for our local sports specialist, that's trade price, as rubber is increasing in price. Cane is also running out and willow costs are also rising! I know it isn't quite so drastic to charge £50 more, but I guess people do have to make a living! You also have to take into account that many bats may not be sold!
Anyways, I think what Asad is doing can only be a good thing, both to the customer and himself. It means that the customer can buy more for their money, and Asad will get more business. 8)

I loved my GN Phoenix Pro Performance! Only had 6 grains, but it flew! There was something wrong with the handle, and I just gave it away to my sports shop, telling the manager that he could use the wood as repairs for chipped bats etc. I am kind of regretting it now, that I know that I could have gotten it rehandled, but he did tell me I could have done it for £40. Stupid me though thought it wouldn't be worth much. Scored my first six with it too! :(
-
Mine has ten - all ruler straight - and the handle was fine, though slightly more flexible than most bats I've used. Very nice piece of willow all round!
-
Fair enough mate, didnt know willow was rising as well as cane! I have an old GN Carbo harrow size and its the best bat ive ever had
-
Originally we were thinking of offering 5% but then decided to offer more to our loyal customers. In my view 10% back off what you spend is very generous. Basically you can get a free bat/pads/gloves etc with your points. The profit margin is already very small due to internet but I think we have edge on many due to quality of our cricket bats (all hand picked) as well as good customer service.
Any one else have any other good idea plz let me know

Scored my first hundred with a GN Phoenix and hit 9 sixes in the innings. I have been looking for oe for ages. Brilliant bats
-
So can I assume this
If I buy a bat say at 190 pound I can expect 19 pound off my bat then the bat is down to 170?
Sorry not the sharpest tool ...
Is this how it works or are the rewards have to be spent within the shop.
-
I think you still spent £190 uop front but have £19 to spend on your card at a later date!

This is correct, u will build up rewards point with every purchase
-
Our reward points have been set up and people have bought lately will be awarded Reward points according to purchase value.
Example: If you have 50 points you will get £25 off from your purchase. Basically you can use your points when ever you like. Our web site shows for each item How many points do u need to have that particular item Free.
Good Luck

Asad does that count for people who bought just before Christmas? I bought the Maverick 4 star from you so can I claim my points now or have I missed out on them?
Thanks
Chris

Sorry if this is a stupid question. But how many points do you get per £1 you spend?

£10 = 1 point

So lets get this right
A pair of pads bad legend 54 pound
Price points is 110
Do I have to spend £1020 pound to get a 54 pound discount
Bit confusing for me all this

Each point is worth 50p, and you get 1 per £10 you spend, so are essentially getting back 5% of what you spend as in-store credit. So if you spend £1000, you have £50 worth of credit, which you can then use on a future purchase. At least that's how I think it works!
-
So not the 19 pound on 190 spent as previously stated..
Ok still a discount

Perfect explanation, saved me typing, Thanks
we will be offering bonus points when you reach say 100, 200, 300 ... points. Also thinking of offering double the points when a customer reaches a certain amount of points.
May be you guys can help me to decide that...

Maybe offer double points on pre-orders or something like that. Or maybe have a double points gear section for old stock. Not sure haha, it's up to you really. 8)
