With black Friday out of the way I thought this would be a good time to show off your kit for the 2020 season!!
With very few additions planned (I've just ordered the GM original Duffle 2020) this will be my kit for next year except for the H4L which has been moved on:

Intend on staying fully B3'd up.

Contemplating shorter bats - size 6s. I will net with them and see how I feel.

@InternalTraining as you've said you'd size 6/3 bats are too light, could you contact a bat maker and get a new one made up that's heavier?
As opposed to wanting low density willow to make light big bats, you could request high density wood to make a 2lb11 size 6?
Just a thought, no idea if it's something easily achieved, but it can't hurt to ask the question :)

Yup. I experimented quite a bit with these bats configs...had couple heavier ones made as well - a 3lb-er from Laver and a 2-10 from MG2 which came a tad lighter. I am looking forward to winter nets to re-try these bats.

My 2020 kit is the same as my 2019 kit.
Two B3 bats that I bought a couple of years ago both of which are now nicely knocked in, 1 set of B3 gloves, old GM pads from 2011, old GN boots from 200?, jockstrap and box from the 90s, pair of £10 white trainers from decathlon, 2 plain cotton shirts, V neck sleeveless sweater, 3 pairs of grey shorts, club cap.
My only addition is a new club sweater for cold drizzly games.

My GM Autograph has gone to Tom @Ayrtek Cricket for a reshape, I've gone with the unbranded online stockists gloves and pads combo (impressed with them), also got a SF stripper from OLS which is great, they're the new additions, will use my NB Gloves and pads for nets. Still to get a new Lid as my Hunts county one now smells horrendous. Halo sweat band too, Have an Ayrtel hybrid sweatband and bobble hat on the way too!
My lad is kitted out with all the Ayrtek softs and G1 Bat, new duffle from Tom too, Shrey lid, Kookaburra Blaze back up bat.
Something is wrong here, the young'un has better clobber than me!!!

I will more than likely move on one or two full sets once I’ve given them all a go as although I have a lot of kit once it gets to the season I only use one set all year including only 1 bat, I did about 3 seasons ago use a different bat and softs each week and had a shocking season so now I only use one with a back up bat or two.
In terms of gloves I always have at least 3 sets as I’m very funny about gloves usually change at least once each innings ( if I bat long enough)

Have you used any of your kooks bats. I got charge4.0 and used it in net without it facing any ball before and no knocking in at all. After a decent session bat had no seem mark at all. Are your kooks the same if you have used them?

Thought I'd start with the bats, in true CBF style I couldn't make my mind up between a Red Ink and a B3 so I bought both! Then spotted the Chase offer so thought I'd give that a go also (this forum costs me way to much lol).
The Grey Red Ink is a copy that John made me of the White one, which has been my match bat for two seasons now H4L Hellfire g2, the B3 I picked up on EBay, I am led to believe it is a Luis Reece shape? I'll do some reviews when I have more time.

No not used any of them yet they all left little seam marks from tapping up a new ball on them, my winter nets start in Feb.

Love it mate. Plenty of room. Serious quality. I prefer a bat cave at the back and separate zip but this has it in the main compartment. Not too many fiddly little pockets which I like.

My gear for 2020. Hopefully I play a full season after missing most of 2018 with a back injury and half of 2019 after doing my ankle ligaments! Only a few changes from last year with the addition of the chase bats and the Shrey wheelie duffle.

How are you getting on with the shrey bag? I really wanted one until I saw reviews saying it doesn’t stand up very well. The same reason I sold my b3 bag. Great looking kit though mate

Thanks. It only arrived today so a bit early to tell tbh. From what I could see earlier, half the base is solid/rigid and the outer half is not which at the moment makes it want to have a tendency to lean but i'm not sure I have pushed my gear down far enough as the bottom 6 inches of the bag feels empty. I need to have another look/experiment. The big draw for me was the 6 internal bat sleeves!

Half way through the season here in Australia but this is all my kit so far.
Bats -
Spartan mc1000 - Was my match bat for 2 seasons, Now just a net bat and comes out if i hit a form slump.
Gm Icon Signature - Have been using this bat in t20's and Indoor cricket.
New balance DC 580 - Was going to be my t20 bat but i just can't get on with the handle, Will probably sell this soon.
Gray Nicolls Silver - Newest Bat to the collection. Just about to start prepping it will probably be my main Bat for next season. Will need a 2nd grip as the handle is pretty thin.
Gm Mana Original L.E - My Main match bat for the last 3 seasons.
Pads -
Puma evo SE - Newest edition to the kit, Getting use to the ambi fit of the pads. No where near as comfy or protective as my legends, But super light feels like im wearing no pads at all. Biggest downer is the straps are just way to long.
Gray Nicolls Legends - My Main pads absolutely love them. No idea why i bought the puma's, the legends are only a season old.
Boots -
New balance Bowling spikes - Was my Main spikes but they just feel super heavy on the feet so i needed to go for something a bit lighter.
Puma Bowling spikes 19.1 - Newest shoes wore them yesterday and today during games. Very snug down near the toes just needs to be broke in. Fairly comfy spikes and also lighter then my new balance spikes which is a big bonus in fielding.
Gloves -
Puma Evo se2 - Newest gloves quite comfy the missus bought me 4 pairs off amazon black friday sales. Won't need gloves for a long time.
Gm Icon - Net gloves
Gm Original L.E - Match gloves
Gray Nicolls silver - Next match gloves. Have had these for 2 seasons but my gm's just wont break so they sit in the bag ready incase of emergency.
Helmet -
Shrey Master Class Air titanium. Super light and comfy helmet. Will need to replace the swoopa band soon.

How do the XX bats compare to the Chase? Do they have things in common to feel quite similar or are they very different?
Not had chance to use the Chase's yet as picked them up on Black Friday deals. In terms of feel and pick up, if I were to compare the two most similar profiles - the XX Kumba and Chase Flc, the feel is very similar. There's a noticeable difference in the handles - the XX's are very thin, I use tape + 2 grips or in some cases just 3 grips to get the thickness right on them.

Decided to try and go green. I might have become a FKW in the process.
Kook Kahuna 2.0 I picked up from the forum. Now oiled, knocked in, fibre tape/heli scuf added, handle more ovaled out and counter weight added so ready for the nets.

Black stickered bat - Blank Bats, used for two seasons and recently refurbed. Lovely stick. Both 2lb 9 ish.

For 'traditional' pads they are very nice. Quality instep and good materials all round. There is a bit of bobbeling(?) on the green inners so looking a little older than what they actually are. My other pads are pumas which are very light and snug so these will take a bit of getting used to.
As yourself I couldn't find any reviews so I bought them on a whim for 25 quid used so I didn't think I could go much wrong.

Of course! One bat and pair of gloves and pads have been used against the Bola for a couple of hours. The Payntr’s have been used for half a season, the lid for 3 matches, the sunglasses are a year old, and the LV mallet has been used for 5 minutes. :D

Weighed a Kook Concept Pro pad and it comes out at 974gr. The Pumas I have are about 200gr lighter so no wonder there's a difference in feel. Interesting take on materials though.

I play in the Home Counties premier cricket league, friendlies on Sundays, midweek T20 league on a Wednesday, and usually one friendly during the week against a touring side. No, not sponsored... I just like to buy stuff I don’t really need.

I have been waiting for a parcel which finally arrived yesterday so here is my 2020 Kit (some might change as we go in to the new year tho)
Firstly here is last seasons Kippax kit - which if I am being totally honest I was so happy with last year - Helped me score my first Ton in a few years and the best I have felt at the crease for a while too.

Which so began a lust for more....(with matching softs of course I will be adding some more B3 gloves) The Imperium was purchased from @JTtaylor145 and is a gun! A few changes from last year.
In - homemade butterfly stickered XX cricket. Pressed and handled by Red Ink. Lovely performance.
Garage and Flack butterfly. I like this one.
Phantom G3. Total plank
Out - Salix Raw. A large piece flew off playing a defensive shot. Boo boo was a cracker.
Missing - Aldred supreme butterfly, on loan.
I will get rid of all my bats except the XX I shaped and the Garrard and flack as I need to raise some cash for a little business.
Pads - morrants International. Best pads ever. Puma calibre 5000. Will probably sell the pumas.
Gloves Puma platinum 5000. Iridium 5000, something else 4000. Love all these. Garrard and flack, unused but feel good. SG lite ate. Too small and tight.
Garrard and flack keeping gloves. Will never be used as I don’t keep wicket!
Bag Slazenger pro tour. £20, had it 3 years and hasn’t missed a beat. Brilliant.

I have been offered a sponsorship with @Neon Cricket this season, and have placed an order for gloves, pads, black pads and a bag, plus stickers for my current sticks. I will be adding a Neon bat soon as well. Pics will follow, but at present:

My kit for the 2020 season is pretty much there but for a couple of items.
For the third season in a row I'll be sticking with Neon Cricket gear. There have been a couple of additions and updates since last season.

My bats have been refurbished to have the current stickers on them. My match bat from last year is retained (a pink reserve), and I've had a copy of it made in butterfly willow (a pink performance). I've also got a black reserve, this has a higher middle than I'd normally use but I did enjoy some (limited) success with this stick in 2018 so it stays in the roster.
I've got a new pair of the 2020 pads and gloves for the season, and am keeping last years pink pair of gloves for nets.

I've kept my green Masuri OS2 titanium helmet in the bag again. I bought this from Vitas cricket in 2017 and it's still going strong.
My aero P2 thigh pads are still in the bag but I'm not sure how long these will last. These have been sewed together more times than I'd like to think about and repairs are falling apart to the extent I can't re-sew them now. After 7 seasons it's time to accept these may be on borrowed time.
Also in the bag are my Oakley Radars, Aero P1 arm guard, Ayrtek D3O box and Adidas Howzat spikes.

And lastly my luggage. This year I'm going with the Neon Cricket wheelie duffle for my gear and the individual training bag for my clothes and other bits I carry.
I'm pretty much there with my kit for the 2020 season. The only additions are likely to be a pair of trainers (something Adidas) for nets/training/warm ups and a new thigh pad set.
I'm hoping Stretton Fox launch their new thigh pads in time for the start of the season, if not a new set of Aero P2s are the likely purchase.

Slowly pulling mine together, lid, Stretton, box etc same as last season and my Advance 6’s. Bats wise I’ve changed it up a bit to these 3 with the blank being cleaned up from last year and my other match bat sold. Bat stickers to match the Softs are in production after peer pressure to get some sorted to tie everything together.
New mums and dads set as these were meant to be for last season but turned up slightly later than anticipated. Ordering some of the new BOA SL22 Boosts then that’s me done ready for another year in the WEPL if I can hold down a first team spot now I’m no longer captain.

Yeh they came out really well as someone ordered a gunmetal and blue set last year but I wanted just blue and white. If anyone wants a set I’ve got an order going in next week for delivery late feb in the same colour scheme. 👍

Light and comfortable. Apart from Morrants Puma are my favourite, particularly 2 strap.
I have 2 arthritic knees so flexible lightweight pads are the order of the day. The fact that they’re close fitting is another huge plus.

Gear I will probably use and the bats I managed to use last year. Only update has been the new GN box, the Blue Tinted Ayrtek - courtesy of Jake @Vitas Cricket , and the Aggot ball. (Looking to improve my seam position) I've been rather unlucky for the past 2 seasons as I've had gout Flare ups which have lasted over a month during both seasons, so spent them accumulating bats instead it seems...

Lots of amazing kit on show here everyone, I don't know how you choose a bat if you've got so many though. I have literally sold all of mine and kept just my favourite, has definitely helped my game.

Grains are lovely, eh? It's a TK, but I actually just whacked the Newbery stickers on it. The 2 Tours are also TK Pro bats which I've stuck stickers on!

Yeah, it's tough, but just played with 2 different ones last year, just a shame I struggle to play as much cricket these days!

I tend to knock in whatever I feel like using, and give them all a bit of knocking when I receive them! I don't knock in too much, and haven't really had many breakages. I just spend most of my time rounding edges and knocking in the toes!

Siren 404, B3 is a copy of my old Chris Lynn velocity
Optimax pads and gloves, the SS are spares and are basically identical in design to the optimax ones or vice versa. Masuri ti lid, NB bowling boots. May add the new strettons when they get launched.

this has changed already. B3 has been sold. 2 new additions. A kippax colossus off eBay for a very good price. Taps up probably better than anything I’ve had! Not particularly pretty, and heavily conclaves as the colossus always has been. Picks up well. 2’13.
Also picked up a monster of a kookaburra ghost. It’s massive. Pictures don’t do it justice at all! Also pings very nicely but does need knocking in! Looks good for a supposed grade 4. I’d give it a 2 at least. 2’15 with 2 grips. Nice shape handle.
Will be starting nets on weds with the kippax. May sell the GM

Oh nice! Although this is where brands selling their stickers to the public can be an issue. ‘A single season of use’ was the ad and of course has the new stickers. I’m not particularly bothered because I got it for a good price regardless but it just goes to show you have to be careful! It’s been well cared for and I will continue to look after it. As for the colouring, the light in that room isn’t the best so I don’t think it looks that bad. I’m in the middle of giving it a light refurb anyway.

I'm down to less than 10! :D The bat was nice just a bit heavy for me, I prefer a 2'9/10 bat so 2'12 was a bit much for me. Hope it goes well for you @Tom_90

Left to right, my choice of bats tend to be higher middle, in medium or heavier weights.
Millichamp & Hall MH09 2lb 14oz
Gunn and Moore Neon Limited 2lb 10oz
Millichamp & Hall Amplus shape 2lb 13oz refurbished with Player Elite branding, unused since then. Very pleased with the refurb service from M&H, no before photos unfortunately.
Millichamp & Hall MH09 2lb 12oz recently purchased from a forum member via eBay, very pleased indeed with this acquisition.
Future plans are to trim down one of the used M&H bats for a healthy price to offset the most recent acquisition, patiently explore what GM Eclipse or Diamond high end grade deals are forthcoming, mix it up a bit with a lower middle bat.

Yes, MH09, introduced around 2015, was formerly the Amplus. The MH09 was itself subsequently replaced by the Player Elite, although M&H sometimes resurrect the previous versions in a limited run, as is the case with the bat on the right. Shaping is a higher middle and minimal concaving.

It is still appearing in the background of some of his posts, easy to spot in the distinct turquoise-ish colour scheme.

I was planning on giving each of these a good workout at winter nets - unfortunately that idea has gone out of the window.
I’ve shifted loads on over the summer but my problem is I like my bats in pairs - for no good rational reason.
Anyway I thought I’d share before I put them all away for the winter.

Liking those white and yellow grips a lot. Where are they from?

With the exception of my lid, bat and t20 pads I don’t own a single bit of kit from last season and indeed those are the only bits of kit o currently own with the exception of a newly acquired older model Newbery. On the hunt for some plain softs over winter.

Both really good. Shorter blade longer handle set up.
Very big and very light.
Could not get on with gimmicky grip so changed it.
Both really perform - big son used one all season and I’ve replaced scuff and given it a tidy and there was no damage at all.
Brilliant.

For a minimal option, I'd give a vote to the Neon softs. As good as anything I've seen from the big names and some really nice touches. Huge fan of mine.
