Really like the V5 profile as others have said. A shame it won't come at any higher willow grade.

Also really like the look of the v1200. Also much prefer the branding on the modern stuff this year that's for sure.

The V5 and V12 are very similar in terms of profile from my point of view.

No V360. Not sure what Morgan will use next season

Shame that. Was it not a popular seller?

Says Morgan will be using the V100 in the brochure.

We aren't the biggest Slazenger stockist in all honesty, it isn't a massive seller for us. But from speaking to Paul, I get the sense the V1200 was more popular this year.

I have seen a good few of the V1200 this year. One, a Test, came from Asad and the guy using it is a lucky fellow. It seemed a lovely bat for all 70 runs I witnessed him get with it.

Really? Looks like lower and shorter middle on the v5 than the v12 - though I expect it will be riddled with concaving so not my cup of tea at all.

Agree the V12 looks to have a longer middle.

The V5 is described as super concave, so may not be for you.

Ahh yes, I didn't fully read the description. It did look like it anyway.

Still - nice livery!

Been looking at the slazenger bats and noticed the v100 has 'tas' after it, where the other models don't. When reading the v100 page on this thread it talks about an insert, something the 2013 v100 has (not sure when it was introduced).

Out of interest regarding the 'tas' insert, what's everyone's thoughts on it?

Personally I've not seen such an insert on a current bat. Closest thing is on my Dad's original Stuart Surridge Jumbo, it has a toe insert. Basically I'm interested to hear if the insert really does improve performance,  or is it mainly to protect.

The tech was introduced in 2013 on the V100. It is not legal in professional cricket, so no V100 TAS bat is classed as an 'A' grade bat - nothing to do with wood quality, this specifies the types of bats eligible for professional and amateur use.

The TAS inserts themselves are something Slaz licensed out from an Australian company, more info can be found here
