How do you hear the crickets over the sounds of the marbles rolling around? You are the shrey spokesman Vic, have you tried contacting them?

I asked Raghav after that insinuation in this thread if there was any legal action either presently happening, or even hinted at by anyone against Shrey in the not too distant future.

Mr Kohli's response was something along the lines of "No...there is no legal action from anyone. Who comes up with this stuff?"

It is possible that Raghav wouldn't want to acknowledge that there are proceedings to someone who is not part of the management team of Shrey, of course, to avoid having to deal with even more difficult rumours!

When he received a legal letter in late January (I think), he was honest enough to tell me about it. But, it was resolved pretty quickly and that was that (it was from who you think it is).

There has been no further legal letters or actions since then.

Of course, you could be right, perhaps being an outsider Mr Kohli isn't going to share everything with me that is happening. If that is the case, that is fair enough.

I have to say though, Mr Kohli has been most forthcoming everytime I have messaged him with any question etc. A real gentleman.

BTW, I saw  Shrey up close(ish) for the first time tonight at the indoor nets I attend. It was a guy from Deepdene CC wearing it and it looked pretty damn good.

Cannot wait to get my own before the season kicks off.

And you would be wrong.

No proceedings from anyone - and that includes Masuri.

Sorry to ruin your day.

Who said anything about ruining my day? Talk has been rife all Summer that Shrey had something hanging over their heads, if it's all hot air or old news then fair enough, it wouldn't be the first time this industry has spread poor info. But (as has been pointed out) if a company had a legal matter coming up, they would be unlikely to share it with a member of the public, no matter how pro-Shrey that member of the public was.

I notice you didn't address my point regarding price points and the Indian market where you believe Shrey will be strong.

Shrey presented an altered design to the trade today away from the Lords show, in a hotel nearby.

With regard to your more recent posta bout seei g a Shrey in the flesh, Of course it looked good, it's the classic Masuri design that everyone loves, no-one is disputing that. The point is that the design does not pass a new safety standard the ICC have requested. Something Shrey themselves have seemingly now conceded, by presenting an updated design.

I don't have any idea vis-à-vis price points of Shrey's in any market other than Oz where I am looking at buying myself.

Given that India has about 40 million people who are millionaires and above and tens of millions who are Middle Class which is growing everyday, I suspect they will never run out of customers.

So what's all this about.

bailey in a shrey branded lid, which is clearly the new gray nics helmet.

Now have shrey ripped it off?
Do shrey make gray nics helmets?
Or does bailey prefer a bsi compliant helmet but has a sponsors deal with shrey so has got away round it??

If you look at the shrey website it would lead you to believe that all the ipl teams are provided helmets by Shrey. In addition, Shrey have a new design in place following the recent changes. So there are a lot of possibilities in those two statements.

I was at the lords show yesterday, had a look at the Shrey new fixed grill helmets with new peak looked very impressive and light and the prices are very good! So I expect most cricket retailers will be stocking these from November!
