Might just be the camera angle but I'm sure I saw some solid forward defensive shots to balls on or outside leg stump?

NNNNNNnoooooooooooo not the trigger!! don't do it!! there is no need!!

Can I ask, did you feel like you benefited from that session, or was it just a bit of fun?

I would sack you feeder and get someone else who will ensure you are set up right.

I have a few thoughts, they are a based on a way to help you hit through the ball like Keysersolze says above, you will get a pm in a while

Personally that is a better session than I normally have, I was trying to be properly with the odd bit of fun chucked in like the sweeps and lofted drives. I go into most net sessions with the mindset of valuing my wicket so if I don't get bowled or plum LBW then I am reasonably happy as you will get the odd big shot you miss-time however I am trying to reduce these and judge the 'right ball' better.

Before the trigger I think triggers are being mentioned as you were not set up right so not in line.

agree with Buzz if a trigger is not in your game then do not bring it in it could knock everything out

I have seen a former County under 17 player start with a trigger now he is playing 3rd team cricket and looks very poor indeed.

Triggers only work if there brought in by a very highly experienced and qualified coach...

Most triggers are natural you do not want to start going there you look fine mate

i bet your a medium pace bully the wy u plant that front foot lol get u in trouble with qicker bowling lol ;)

you fall over and dont get ur back foot across hence why u always hit inside the ball and it goes midwickety rater than straight however at 3.46 around that time you play a beaut cover drive and then 4.4 lovely off drive start getting that back foot across rather than just the front if you naturally have that trigger, and it will allow you to start playing better off the back foot to quick bowlersaswell, i had the same problem as you also have very hard handed...

and aso lean forward slightly in stance will allo you to get your foot to the pitch of the ball rather than planting other than that good mate

Joe, you already have a natural trigger movement as do 99% of the players in the world. Just think your front foot trigger gets you into trouble a bit.

Bit on trigger movement here  http://www.pitchvision.com/trigger-movements

Cheers Aidy. I'm not a fan of fast bowling, as you can tell. I much prefer spin and working it into gaps but it is true that I play with my hands - moreso that I had realised and I definitely need to get a bigger stride.

Thanks Kieron
