My first refurb!

I acquired an MS Fusion SSH weighing in at 2lb 11oz from a forum member via the forum. It was in an okay condition on delivery, but really, really wanted a refurb. I thought that this should be doable, so went on and refurbed. The pictures show before, pre-stirckering and after, and thanks to Kieron of Bulldog for providing the stickers. I hope that the bat lives up to your brand, at least in looks. It's now (by stickers at least) a Growler fitted with a hammer edge!

"Why Bulldog?" some of you may ask. Because I rather like the look of these stickers!

Ever tried using a sander on concaving? Ends up being a very manual process unfortunately...

looks good tim, its actually fairly hard. some of mine come out crap hence why i pay to get it done now! Top job..

ive got a few questions regarding sanding

only experiance ive had with sanding etc is metal polishing and painting.

where u work you way through the grades

like start of with 120 and finish of with 1200 grit.

would the same thing aply to wood to get smooth finish ?

is it done by hand or a machine sander etc?

I used to be a cabinate maker so know a litle bit. You do go through the grades never try and skip more than 2 grades

Yes, gp through the grades. Used an orbital sander on the front to get the worst out with a coarse grade and finished with fine by hand then wire wool.

It's usually 20 to 25 quid. Not overly complicated, but certainly some work.

I saw, and took that advice. Wire wool and beeswax based polish in a tiny amount.
